Snap's History
The true story behind the man of mys--er...the podcast...>_>;;

A two months or so before Otakon 2007 (July 20th) was supposed to happen, two Gaians found themselves conversing over Skype about a future podcast. These two Gaians just so happened to be Tutsumi (Now Tutsumi Hy) and Tobias Geminasu. The podcast was agreed to be worked on but it would require more than just the two of them.

Word was sent out and more and more people accepted the proposition to help the podcast...the podcast whose vision was to create a podcast that would cover all of Gaia so that Gaia's community would be proud and come together as one, if only for one thing. Those who first accepted were Cid High-wind, DeGei, Edmond Dantes, Mistress Batneko, and Newzpop Reporta Tyro Bong (as a guest). The podcast even had some guidance by Gaia Online developer, Fleep.

Plans had been worked on with the Gaia Online staff and event planners which would allow us coverage of different aspects of the Otakon 2007 event for Gaia Online. We were even acknowledged by Gaia Online during the panel for our coverage video. Back in 2006, Tutsumi was able to get the first interview of Lanzer on video along with the then developer cyphgenic. During Otakon 2007, Tutsumi was able to get another interview with Lanzer and one of Gaia's artists, CP, about some of Gaia's most recent additions as well as getting to know a bit about both of them.

Question: What the heck is Snap?
Answer: Snap is a podcast which strives to bring the best form of information and entertainment about Gaia Online to its community as a whole.

Question: How is it formatted?
Answer: Hm, well there's two answers to this.
1) The actual format which we distribute is MP3 but this might vary should we have a video episode or something special.
2)We choose certain topics for people to talk on, and then do so. o3o;
How we set up the episode (its format) is that we try to make it a short, radio like show. Each person has a segment all for themselves, which lasts for about 5 minutes or so unless we're really getting into something serious. We might have a few shows that are mainly taken up on one topic such as a convention which Gaia was at, etc. ^_^
In some occasions, we'll also have several people on one segment at a time. Keep an eye out for these since these are generally quite entertaining!

Question: How can I get to be on an episode of Snap?
Answer: Send Tutsumi Hy a PM including your Skype name. Not everyone can get on the show, however.
To get onto an episode of Snap, you must either submit a plan of your segment, should you choose to have a segment or talk to us in the Snap Chat if you'd like to join us in one of out future discussions.

Question: Can I listen to this podcast on my computer?
Answer: But of course! You download these either through our mp3 links or through iTunes. Either way, once they are downloaded you can listen to them on your computer.

Question: How do I put the podcast onto my MP3 player?
Answer: It's fairly easy but some different MP3 players have different methods. Some allow you to drag and drop the songs/movies/etc. right into the player via software while others you must go into the hard-drive of the player. Basically, however you place your videos or songs or any other little things you put on them to play...do the same thing with these. ^_^

Hey there people! Let's see...I started Gaia in September 22nd, 2003 because my then girlfriend was into roleplaying and always used to get onto this site. For about a week or so she wouldn't tell me the site URL saying that, "they'll eat you alive if you're a noob". Eh, I guess I wasn't.

I went straight for roleplays in the Military/Organizations forum as well as the Barton Town forum and did my first two months here on those alone. After I got used to things, I expanded to the Q&A for roughly two years before the change from Questions and Feedback to Questions and Answers...

Greetings all, I am Tobias Geminasu, I joined Gaia back May 03, 2004 and honestly back then I was into a bit of role play myself but actually hadn't come to Gaia for that. Rather I was introduced by a friend, who also role played and is a talented artist.

Mostly though upon arrival I found that not much keeping my attention to it, minus being with my friend. Things seemed slow, Gaia was small, my avatar represented my love for ninjas, long before Naruto had been introduced. Seriously, I had roleplayed as a ninja in military/fantasy role plays before Naruto started leaking over here.

OK, I am DeGei, I joined in summer of 2005. At that time I skipped the chatterbox and headed into the Bar sections and charity area. Shortly afterward Gino's Return and Halloween '05 pulled me into the plot for swing.

From there I wound up searching the GCD up and down for anything to hold my interest. Upon their entry, The G-Team instantly took the place of my favorite plot element. At the Trial of Ian sometime later I started audio G-Team parodies where I played all three parts.

I joined Gaia back in winter '04, December 7th to be exact. I used to wander the forums and the GCD, commenting here and there about stuff. Till I was told about the LAA that Bat had created. I met my current real life boyfriend, Arkanik, in there. I am proud to say that we are still going strong. To this very day I spend most of my time, on Gaia, in the original LAA thread.
