You can dress in Gambino colors, in an outfit inspired by one of the Gambinos, have a Gambino-family-related item on, or just something you'd throw on for a party! I am happy to submit an original Gino collage for the Modern Art contest. This piece is titled Gino's Modern Pop Art Digital Collage (with Grey Frame)
As a collage-artist (working with the GIMP) I worked with a pre-existing image of Gino I found on the internet, flipped his face, and tinted it yellow. (because -- you know -- hair!)
Most of this work uses the aqua-blue tone of Gambino, which contrasts well with golden Gino, and allows several of the patterned abstract shapes to pop! At one point when I felt a little stuck with my composition, I went to Wassily Kandinsky for direction through visual example, and this helped me refocus and reassert myself to complete this collage.

my inspiration was from the airship saga, with the background squares representing one of the 5 original gods, as well as five major moments in Gino's life:
red & yellow for his stint as the Masque
blue for his stint as the Ginoverseer
orange & black for his meeting with Meili
purple for his facing & defeating Nyx
& green & white for his continuing journey on the airship
the diamond segment lines between the sections represent Gaia connecting them all together

"Where the F*ck is Gino???" Fanfiction Contest
Gino must have been all over Gaia by now! And seen all sorts of sights! Many places have been beautiful and welcoming, intriguing and interesting. And some places... well, some places have been host to experiences Gino will never forget. As he sits down to his journal later that night, he struggles to find the words to describe what may have been his strangest day yet...
Recommended word count: 250 - 1,500 words!

The Unknown Shadow
Journal Entry Day 282
Woke up this morning washed up on the beach. I don’t remember much of the past night, only that I fell off a party ship. I thought I’d wake up dead. But it wasn’t meant to be so.
A ginger cat wearing a red bow tie scratched me awake. It meowed at me and as I looked up into its green eyes, it seemed to motion for me to follow it by moving it’s paw and licking it in the same motion, before running on the beach. I still don’t know what to make of it.
So here I am, following this bowtie wearing cat on the beach and it suddenly gets distracted chasing other things too like the various birds on the beach too. I can’t help but think I look like a moron doing this, and feel twice as such. It’s a contrasting display: me frustrated and grumpy with a major hangover from the night before, and this little fireball furball leaping and jumping all over the place with the energy of a small child.
Pretty soon, I just sat down and stopped chasing after it, and instead watching the sun on the waters of the beach.Needless to say, it wasn’t long before it leaped into my lap and meowed like it was trying to say “I DEMAND SATISFACTION!” and it swiped its little paw across my face.
I reluctantly got back up again, and started chasing it again, this time with a little more enthusiasm. After all, this cat wasn’t going to take “No” for an answer!
Sometimes, you got to go with the flow. I guess what I was expecting was a vision quest or strange big revelation. I wasn’t disappointed though. The cat’s manner of dress & distraction reminded me of Rufus back home. I hope him and Ian are okay.

Gino's Log. Day 26
This is the worse.
Not only am I separated from my crew but also cold and wet from my swim in the lake. If it wasn’t for Ladyhand’s experiences, I’d been starving as well. It’s a good thing we’ve gotten waterproof bags otherwise my journal would’ve been a goner.
As a result of the scuffle and wreckage from it, our ship crashed not too long ago. Fortunately the crew were experienced enough so as to avoid as much casualties from the crash. The foliage from the forest must’ve damaged the ship I suppose. Unfortunately, I was separated from my fellow mates during the fall.
Hollering out for them had been the wrong move as it just resulted in a very strange deep growl. I do not know what sort of creatures dwell here but I wasn’t taking any chances. The rustling of the bushes and the sounds of the forest floor from my boots didn’t help my case and I had to book it fast as possible to find a way out.
Moving as fast as one can in a forest without making any noise whatsoever is NOT easy let me tell you. Moving as fast as one can in a very thick overgrown forest didn’t making things easier either.
Thank Gaia my fall was close by the lake! I had burst out on the rocky bankside and beheld the freshest view I’ve ever had in days. The light was slightly filtered through the trees but didn’t diminish the magnificent beauty of the lake or its surroundings. The gorgeous lake was bluer than the sky, the hills far yonder lush with trees and greenery and deeper than any greens and the marvellous sight of the ruins overlooking the sparkling waters. The very one we’ve been hunting for was nestled so cushily among this serene view. The place was cleverly hidden between the flowering trees and greenery. No wonder it was so hard to find up in air!
Oh, if only my mates were here! If only they could drink in this euphoria after weeks of hard long searching! The place was as every bit if not more gorgeous than the details on the records that even I have such a hard time describing the gloriousness of it.
I had climbed over the rocks, careful to keep near the bushes and not too close to the water as I look for a set path towards the ruins. The flowers from the trees brushed against my cheek, tickling me before they were carried away from the wind to dance on the water between the rocks. And... that wasn’t the only thing the wind carried...
I had turned back to face the shadowed trees as I heard that very strange rumble, a deep growl steadily sounding closer this time.
I didn’t waste any time to strip any of my clothes but slowly yet with hurry and worry, I clambered over the rocks and towards the water praying that no creatures would be lurking beneath the waters. From what I saw the water was pure crystal clear only reflecting the sky above and the rocks below so hopefully it’ll stay that way further out as well.
I made a beeline for the ruins sans water creatures or monsters and made it safely across.
Safe from the strange creature or whatever that growls were from, I entered the ruins through a hole from up above in the side as the entrance was completely caved in. The hole was big enough for me to squeeze through. Since this was a sacred place even though in ruins I know that I’d be safe as long as I stay in. I had peeled off m wet clothes and laid them out to dry and dug through my bad for the rations and light.
Now, I only hope my mates would be able to find me soon as I finish this entry...

My avatar base is brown skinned, and I hope that's okay. Maybe Gino's been hanging out at the beach with Sasha a lot, who knows? In any case, I wanted to make him appear approachable so I went with a smile that's more on the bashful side. Being that this is a Black Tie event, Gino decided to help tame his long locks by binding them into a low slung ponytail--the better to avoid getting hair in his champagne flute, or his hors d'oeuvres emotion_awesome And finally, true to his family's immeasurable reputation, the representation of a gilded cobra upon his top hat adds a finishing, if layered in meaning, touch.

it would seem Gino has stumbled upon a dragon's nest in an ancient forest, having tripped and fallen into the hatchling's remaining eggshell. unfortunately, the interior was still too slippery for Gino to be able to climb out before the hatchling's mother returned. let's hope Gino can get along with his new sibling now that "their" mother has simply accepted this pale, puny - and wingless eek - hatchling as her still fortuitous twofer heartxd

Synthetic Nature
D-19 walks into the ballroom alongside B-19, one arm in his and the other clutching a bundle of papers and books alongside an old laptop. She greets her hostess and waving off her beloved batch-mate, the Zurgling leaves and settles herself at a well-dressed table, moving aside the ornate decorations, she places down her files and laptop. Darting over to the drinks table, D-19 grabs a bottle of wine and a glass, before rushing back to her table to get to work on her dissertation. She looks up once more from the laptop and grins, waving at everyone before getting back to her work.
Absolute Vice
Slipping quietly through the large ballroom doors, Vice finds a corner where he can see most of the room to watch as people gather for the festivities.
He had heard that a party was being held for the fabled Gino Gambino, how could he possibly not pay a visit. He had read a lot about the Gambino family while learning about Gaia and it seems when something interesting happens on this planet, a Gambino likely isn't far. Who knows, maybe he would make an appearance himself?
....plus who can say no to free all you can eat buffets.
Bearnas Two
D-19 on his arm and dressed in the finest suit he owned, B-19 entered the premises. He had never attended a ball before, so when he heard from his batch-buddy there was one being held at the Gambino estate, he had perked up instantly and taken it upon himself to chaperone her there.
Upon reaching the grand staircase overlooking the room, he paused a second to take it all in. The elegant music coming from the ballroom orchestra, the meticulously chosen and placed decorations, the absolutely amazing smells wafting over from the massive buffet table — he had expected it to be a fancy ordeal, but it was clear from a glance the hostess had gone above and beyond to arrange all this.
B-19 parted from his companion and leisurely made his way through the crowd, appreciating the attendees' lavish outfits and exchanging brief pleasantries on his way to the buffet. As he popped the first of no doubt many horse d'oeuvres in his mouth, he made a mental note not to loiter around the food the whole evening, as much as he was tempted to.
After sampling pretty much everything on the table, he filled up a second plate with an assortment of appetizers and brought it over to the table D-19 had claimed for herself. He shook his head and sighed. Bringing work to a social event — deadlines truly have no mercy.
"Now then," he muttered, helping himself to a glass of wine from a drinks platter. He turned toward the crowd once more and smirked.
"Time to mingle."
Mars-San
Mars is normally not all for the bright lights and the glitz and glamour of parties, but there was just something about hearing about Gino's birthday that made her come out of hiding and see what all the hubbub was all about.
She was more used to being in the kitchen, visiting with her master, while he cooked, and not a room full of shoulder to shoulder Gaians giggling and doing who knows what else.
So, the Cheshire cat demon is currently curled up in the shadows, on a bookshelf somewhere, watching the goings on, as her body was crouched low, ears pinned back on her head, while her tail was currently tucked between her legs.
She was not a happy little kitty at this point...
Steal
As the voice spoke his name introducing him to the hostess of this party Steal cringed. He could tell that some of the other guests were looking at him strangely. Why not? He was after all covered in white cats who had no intention of leaving him, no matter what he tried. Not that he tried much.
"Greetings to you as well.." He murmured softly, bowing his head respectfully, as he lifted one pale hand to move away a swatting cat paw that kept anyone from getting too close. "Sorry, they seem to have gotten a bit possessive.."
He couldn't say how he ended up covered in all the cats, even he didn't know. They just appeared one morning. Ghost cats, angel cats, star cats... too many really. At least they didn't shed.. much. With a slight smile he looked around the room, entering cautiously. "Gino Gambino's birthday.. I wonder if he likes cats..?"
A series of hisses trailed behind him as he moved from the door. "Yeah yeah.. stuck with the lot of you.. got it..." How does one enjoy a party when covered with clingy felines?

*a young looking woman walks into the room from another door way. her eyes slowly roam around the room trying to see if there was anybody she knew even though it was unlikely. seeing people of different kinds there from human to elf, to animal like ones she tries to calm her nerves down a little bit. two small animals follow behind the woman since they were with her.* calm down girl... you got this. it's just a little party.
Everybody Stalfos
Stal felt a rush at the sound of her name echoing out into the ballroom, hanging over the heads of the jubilant guests and briefly drawing their attention before fading away. She was late to the party, literally and figuratively. By the time she arrived, the celebration was already well under way and the room was packed full of partygoers eager to pay their respects to the man of honor. Stal's initial excitement gave way to familiar anxiety as she awkwardly made her way through the crowd, instinctively clutching at the pendant hanging from her neck to keep her steady. She closed her eyes for a moment and whispered words of encouragement to herself. The night would be hers for the taking, if she could just take the leap. She opened her eyes, she took a deep breath, and dove into a sea of possibility.

Tyro rocked her drink back and forth as she watched over the party. Another party, another day. In the past she would've genuinely had fun at such an event. But for now, she had much bigger plans. Raising up her gPhone she took a picture holding the glass with her best fake smile. "Enjoying the best life" she captioned the photo and posted it to dropplr. *
The Gaians hadn't listened to any of her previous theories.
But she had hoped that appealing to their social inclinations they would eventually accept her ideals.
Gradually she would introduce them to her real thoughts. Between hearts and emoticons and pointless social posts. And then, she thought, the real fun would begin.

"Ah, sure. Sounds fun! I'll be there in a second."
Perhaps her plans were too big scale for a simple little “zurg” like her. Trying to stand out amongst the crowd seemed like a fool's errand. In her eyes many had tried to do the same for other, albeit more vain reasons.
She placed her drink down on the table and looked back at the crowd of happy, carefree gaians. Dancing as if they had not a care in the world...clearly.
Tyro's attendance at the party had been carefully planned. Every interaction, every encouragement. All to work towards gaining the Gaians' trust. So that one day they would follow her to the Zurg’s home world...where she would face the ultimate foe, Nili.
Tyro attempted to cover her smile. She didn't need anyone seeing this unsightly smirk.

"You moving slower than a rock puppy with weights attached to it! Hurry up!"
Tyro moved her hand. There was no trace of the calculating presence from just moments before. A glowing, albeit goofy smile appeared on her face.
"Making me rush to dance!? Fine! Hope you're ready for some moves then!"

BatChic
Until now, Batchic was excitably rushing to and fro between her art studio and this Grand Ball, not really taking in the fashionably dressed guests, and the sumptuous foods and drinks displayed at the buffet, but she deliberately slowed the beating of her faery wings to take everything in.
"Breathtaking, isn't it?" she whispered to her Kindred pet Cupcake the Bat.
Cupcake nuzzled her arm, letting BatChic know that the little bat wanted to visit the dessert tray, to marvel at the pink frosted cakes and cookies.
"Just a moment, Cupcake." BatChic gave her little bat a gentle scritch, and then turned to the center of the Ballroom to admire the large framed photographic portrait of Gino, looking heroic on the bridge of the airship, with his blond hair flowing in the wind.
"Oh, Gino!" BatChic sighed. "We wish you a very fulfilling birthday celebration, dear."
And from what the Batchic fae observed from the gaiety of the stylish revelers of this Community Event, this Ball was, indeed, a success for Gino to be proud of.

DeeDee Gambino
DeeDee Gambino tapped a fancy slippered toe at the entrance of the Grand Ballroom. Although she was more than fashionably late, she was slightly impatient that more attention was not given to her person -- she was Gambino, after all -- and Gino's cousin.
She wondered why it took her so long to get dressed for this event -- perhaps it was the perplexity of setting the family Gambino blue pleasingly with her preferred rose palette -- Darn! Why was her personal dresser previously engaged with another appointment?
She made a slow exhale, and turned to a waiter, choosing a sparkling glass of pink champagne daintily. Well, she might as well toast ol' Gino -- after all this special celebration was for him. And she nodded and smiled at the party-goers, as she said sweetly, "To Gino!"
There was a scant moment of silence before the elegantly dressed audience raised their glasses in response, with a hearty "TO GINO!" A thunderous applause followed, and then the music resumed, encouraging the dancers to take the center of the ballroom, with increased enthusiasm.
DeeDee Gambino was about to retire to a quiet table in the corner, when handsome Rick Lond appeared before her, looking dashing in his tuxedo, taking her arm and leading her to the dance floor.
"DeeDee, it's been too long," breathed Rick Lond into her ear, as they slow danced.
"And Rick, darling, what have you been doing since your soap opera All My Gaians has stopped production?" asked DeeDee, pointedly.
Rick looked nonchalantly at the band musicians, as if trying to diffuse her question. "Oh, this and that, babe."
"Well, I am glad you are here for Gino," DeeDee answered softly, and pressed herself further into his broad shoulders, letting his masculine scent overwhelm her.
As the party continued, DeeDee let herself become lost in Rick Lond's essence, and although this was a celebration for Gino, the self-centered DeeDee Gambino, truly believed that this was really an event for her -- a tipsy thought that was as pink, bubbly, and fantastic as the champagne she imbibed.
This is where I'm gonna highlight the people who are awesome enough to give me advice and help me out! Not that you're not all awesome regardless of your participation.

Sometimes, you got to go with the flow. I guess what I was expecting was a vision quest or strange big revelation. I wasn’t disappointed though. The cat’s manner of dress & distraction reminded me of Rufus back home. I hope him and Ian are okay.

Gino's sense of fashion always seemed very princely to me so I went for something in that vein.
I didn't want to overdress him, so maybe it turned out a little plain haha. Let's be real though, you could put him in a literal trashbag and he'd still look good.

While perhaps strange to some, finding a seaside town inhabited almost exclusively by cute, talking animals didn't faze Gino much.
The president of Gaia was a chatty green bunny, after all.
The warm sandy beaches, the palm trees swaying in the salty breeze... this place reminded him of home.
Perhaps these villagers would enjoy Isle de Gambino, too.

I noticed that on your event schedule 5/13 (Thursday) is Gino's Birthday & 5/15 (Saturday) Johnny K. Gambino day. You probably already know this from the Gaia Anniversary themed dev meet awhile back that dev meets are held on Fridays. Maybe it'd be a fun to have a crossover between the two of the events & to do something on the 14th (Friday) in zOMG?
Bringing Mavdoc into the conversation in case this would be something you two would like to discuss question Mav is the leader of the meets - so he'd be the person to talk to. 3nodding

Unfortunately it doesn't appear the latest Towns is available yet. Last I heard it's anticipated soon:

April has also seen us facing delays in various ongoing projects. We experienced some unexpected challenges with Gaia Towns, but we’ve made some changes and things are going much more smoothly now. We should have a beta version available for you soon!
The dev meets usually happen in zOMG - so doing something in zOMG would probably work fine exclaim
If you two go ahead with the idea, it might be good to set up the crossover event in an area that can be easily accessed at any level. (I imagine there may be people attending your event that don't usually go into zOMG question So they might have more difficulty reaching areas ingame at later levels.) Barton is probably one of the easiest areas for new players to navigate to...

I'm thinking blonde hair will have to be an element to use in dressing for the theme. xd Having it take place in Barton Town would probably be a good idea too like Newz mentioned.
