This could just be my stupidity, but I don't really see the connection between Fremere and military stuff. Help my slow brain! sweatdrop

Well first, when I searched around net for "Fremere" among Gaia topics there popped something about "Fremere legiones" and when I read it a little, it was from some historical book about military strategy.
Second Edmund explained a little about it in report. I dig it for you "hey say Fremere's soul could never be satisfied. No victory was glorious enough, no Gold shone bright enough, no revenge was sweet enough... all his pride, rage and ambition were cast into this item. Notice how its red eyes seem to glow with implacable angst?"
That doesn't look like romantic character.

I think you're right Tycja, he sounds like a ruthless fighter rather than a romantic hero. I'm excited to see it evolve.

What do you guys think about the tainted carapace in the description?

I looked up the word carapace and got a few things. A carapace is a dorsal section of the exoskeleton or shell in a number of animal groups, including arthropods such as crustaceans and arachnids (crabs and their relatives and spiders and their relatives) as well as vertebrates such as chelonians, order Testudines, turtles and tortoises.

How I think this relates to the item is armor strong armor . Maybe the armor may have a animal look to it.

Tainted to means either the item is cursed ..evil an soaked in blood.

I know what a carapace is... to me this sounds like some dead leftover shell of something multi-legged filled with a soul. Yum. /dry

Tainted can mean anything blemished by a foreign subtance, doesn't have to be all doomy right away. Could be a speck of blood instead of an ocean of guts xD

I think "tainted" here are reflecting to tainted by rage, pride and ambition of Fremere. In report was mentioned something about revenge, so maybe some red/crimson parts in this item would shown up. There was about gold, and we have gold part, and about victory.. umm dunno how to think about it.

Oh... I know it's late but duh! I'm really slow lately, there is rubin! Rubin = red! Great, my thinking is disturbed right now sweatdrop

Everyone seem to be forgetting about Captain Ara's Nestegg. Hopefully it'll evolve once more this
Friday. I think it's way from over. I like the Pirate outfit so much!

@Okami - That's what I was thinking too, more likely of a bloody shield or a helmet.
But I don't think it will be a present military, I think it's more of an old age.

I like the Nestegg ^^ It was made by DrinkyTengu (one of my fav. Gaia artist along with gem2niki, who is by the way feeling a little bit better ^^ ) After reading the description of the Guard on Fri. I immediatly thought of it as Warriorish instead of being Romantic. Maybe we'll get a giant flamming turtle as some one said in another EI thread that I participate in.

Well, the story seems obvious, but then I ask myself how we're supposed to interpret that 'guard' then. Just as a whole.. A man's guard, what'd that mean <<
Could be a convoluted way of saying armour, but how far can you take an EI on only that?
Maybe a consort : / (*lols at image of an EI centered around the woobie servant guard of said ambitious ********* ney, I'm jes freewheeling here)

Also, flaming turtle? O.o ... hey, that makes more sense than it should.
