Welcome to A million Grains.

Q:What is a million grains?

A: A million grains is a community based project to promote gaians in being active in ending world hunger.

Q: How does it work?

A: It's very simple actually. You go to the website http://freerice.com/index.php You follow the instructions and report back how many grains of rice you have earned.

Q:How often do we report?

A:You can report in every time you play.

Q: But I have trouble with vocabulary!

A: It's okay. The creator of freerice.com has made it so in the event you get a word wrong, they give you an easier one. They want you to get words right.

This is very important. This is NOT a competition. You will NOT recieve a prize for being the top rice collector. I want everybody to be truthful. This isn't about you or me, this is about the members of gaiaonline, doing something that betters the world, not just ourselves.

Dear Gaian's.

Well, it's been nearly TWO years since this thread was started. In just six days, it'll hit the two year mark. I admit, I left this thread to it's own devices, and surprisingly it's continued to florish on it's own. Which goes to show, people are still willing to continue the cause, even if the person who's suppose to be running it isn't there.

For all of those who have participated in this thread, I thank you so much for continuing to participate in this project.

For those who will post in the future, I thank you for your time and adding to the amount that has been accumulated already.

I thank you all from the bottom of my heart, and I sincerely hope this continues to florish as it has, and hope it will continue to do so as long as there are gaian's willing to lend their time to a good cause.

From one gaian to another, I thank you all.
