Aww, heck. The only question I might be able to answer is number three.
I think a Cutie Mark is a mark to show their special skill, once he / she has earned it. For example;
Applejack has an apple as her mark to symbolize her specialty with apple-based foods.

Fluttershy's mark symbolizes her ability to cooperate with animals, I think.

Rainbow Dash, the tomboy of the group got hers by something to do with a spoiler. I'll leave you to think of that.

Pinky Pie has a special talent for arranging parties, though often oblivious to serious events, she is a treat to play with. She also often helps Dash with the pranks.

I'm not sure of what else to say that isn't obvious. I am a brony, I'll admit that. I didn't like the show from what i saw the first time, so i gave it an 8.7 of 10. Well written, plot is new, characters are neat to get to know, ect...

Anyways, good luck with the contest!
