I'm glad to see Labtech X is still alive, he's been my favorite NPC since I joined in 05.

...123 aka Frank was the ONLY labtech visible the entire 2005 story arc, so yes, I DO think he recreated the G Virus all by himself. (I'm much less clear as to WHY... and if he was already working for X or what. He seems shocked to see him in that last manga page.)

it said the labtech 123 was promoted to labtech head, and was leading the project. for all we know, there could of been more labtechs.

Hm, I kinda like to think that he was already working for X then, but that's me. He might not have been expecting X -I have a feeling that he was totally stalking him, because he was there a second after he went, "I HAS A G-VIRUS!"- and anyway, there was just a blackout and that usually throws people off. I kinda like to think that X stationed 123 to take care of GamGino while he was theorizing how to cure him.


Still, what's with the Grunnies? Why did X release them? I'm not really sure: he doesn't really have much incentive to at that point and I don't think he actively hates Gambino then. Maybe it was all a horrible accident and he really was just reaching for the light switch, haha. XD

By the way: I suspect trying to make the Gaia plot make perfect sense is a futile effort. I don't think the admins know their own backstory. sweatdrop

Clearly X released the grunnies just so we could have a Halloween event. How thoughtful of him!

You know, it's actually possible the fire was set in an effort to CONTAIN the grunnies. Like, right after X looms dramatically behind Frank, they both realize they're surrounded by grunnies and start screaming like little girls... I mean, sure it LOOKS like X is somehow bringing the grunnies with him... but that doesn't really make sense, so maybe he isn't? rofl I have no idea. That plotline really didn't make sense at all. When I was re-reading it recently I realized that the person who picks up the vial at the end seems to be an ElfTech. Did the ElfTechs do anything with the G Virus? Did I just forget about it? sweatdrop

I think either...

1. they used the g-virus to repair the santa mech suit.
2. the G-virus combined santa to his mech suit like it did to the humans and grunnies.

2 makes more sense, but i remember reading 1 from the gib database... xp

Haha, that could be possible, heh. At very least, X seems to be protecting little Frankie from the big, bad Grunnies, and I figure that's as good way as any to contain them. Of course, he nearly killed GamGino, but maybe he knew that he was pretty resilient, so he didn't bother rescuing him from the fire. Of course, Frank had to have had another vial, because he drops that one and X needed the virus to make the cure. Anyway, I think I like it way better if you view that plotline as X and 123 screwing up majorly and trying to fix it with disastrous results, hehe.



Yeah, they used it to bring Santa back from the dead and it sort of fused with his mecha suit or something like that.

Three days later, a guild called S CORP was created. The similarities with G CORP were astounding - not only the logo, but it's members: little scientists called ElfTechs.

They had been recently recluted by Santa to make all the gifts for Christmas. They were worried about Santa's health, but his wife, Mrs. Clause assured them that he was alright.

Every ElfTech had a journal, which haven been recopilated here for all of your reading pleasures.

However, it doesn't take long for us to see that something darker is swimming in the depths of this facility. Mrs. Clause, far from being a jolly woman like her husband, was the one in charge of the guild. ~Notes~ It seems they had used the G Virus, or at least a serum, left from G CORP to make the Mech Suit. It is still unknown if they used that same serum to revive heal Santa.

Yeah, it says something about it in one of the Jack v Santa manga, though it doesn't explicitly say it's the G-Virus.

Um, the GIB isn't canon, they're users. That post is speculation unless it has a link to a manga page or in-character elftech journal or something. Just sayin'.
