Thank you for including my post! Haha. It was cool to see since I'm actually subscribed to you! I was checking back on Gaia not too long before the video came out.

One small detail I do need to point out is that the website has always been called Gaia Online. The URL used to be go-gaia.com because someone else had already registered gaiaonline.com. When the domain became available, the site URL was changed from go-gaia.com to gaiaonline.com. Tons of people get this wrong, especially if they weren't there when the change happened.

Also i don't know how well inflation is kept under control, at least when it comes to the old harder obtainable items.

I took a break 6 months ago with 35 Trillion gold sitting in my account, i could have bought 2-3 Angelic halo's with it, now Halo's are at 53 Trillion gold. I've also noticed all the older donation items still rapidly rising in price.

It's a great video!
However one of the things you failed to talk about but would be great to touch on in a future video at some point are the Project Tickets.
(I've done a few myself!)
Project Tickets are custom items & products on the site.
They can range from having a pre-existiing item recolored in colors of your choosing to having a doll made with an exclusive item that only 25 copies exist on the site.
The community in that forum are pretty nice & are always willing to answer questions about Tickets!

I recommend looking at the Project Forum because there's a lot of history there about Tickets & it also goes into a whole issue with Goldemort.
At the time they were conceived, the CEO & COO were still around.
As of right now the waiting queue for these tickets... is not great.
Some have been waiting YEARS for their items.
Also the Gaia Cash sales got REALLY worrisome to the point where Gaia Cash was valued at 50 cents USD with the sales & then rebranded Bonus Cash.

It was really soul-crushing back then, I remember questing an item that inflated so badly that I would have had to spend ~70 years (no exaggeration - I did the math) to get it without spending money.

Hey there! I also came back thanks to this video, ha ha. Lots of memories here, happy to see the site is still here but saddened by what the site has become due to the influence of Gold Generators corrupting and destroying so much of what made this site so great (the number of people visiting, being able to buy things and feeling value for my money in the cash shop... I remember buying those cash cards in Walmart when I was younger and being SO excited about getting something cool to try and build my avatar around.)

I miss it. But I get my fashion fix from Gw2 now (Fashion Wars 2, lol)
