Would you gusy be interested in a guild project to combat that Project PURGE thing?

Something like a Diedrich Adoption Agency where we try to buy up as many Diedrich items as possible and send them to good homes?

It would protect them from getting PURGED, while also helping people who maybe can't afford the more expensive items get Diedrichs.

Just a thought for a project maybe later this summer. It could be fun.

If it is something that would make there be less Diedrich items on Gaia, then it sounds like a Very Bad Thing.
During the next event, I would volunteer many hours of switchem to hoard gold to donate to buying up items to prevent such a loss.

Yeah. PURGE was buying Diedrichs, then deleting them. I don't know that they are still active, but it was not very cool. It's probably why so many Diedrichs are so rare.

Who or what is this PURGE thing? Sounds evil.

I mean, maybe if there are too many of something cheap and stupid that are just clogging up the marketplace or whatever, like amigo pants or some of the starter clothing, they should by all means buy them on the marketplace from poor users who are trying to make a little cash, then delete them to clear up server space. That would be good management or good citizenship.
But... deleting good items that people actually want in an effort to manipulate the marketplace or just because you think maybe there's too many of something out of personal preference or something? That would be uncool, no matter whether you are just a user, a mod, or admin.

But then, that is just my off-hand speculation, I really have no idea what it is actually about.
