Reminder: Inappropriate Content and Respectful Discussion
Hello Gaians,
In light of the events that took place today, we want to take a moment to remind everyone of expectations when it comes to acceptable behavior on Gaia.
We understand that politics can be a sensitive subject, and many of you may want to discuss the situation. That is allowed, but there are important considerations to keep in mind:
Graphic Content
It is never acceptable to post or link to graphic images or videos of victims. This includes content that is violent, gory, disturbing, or otherwise inappropriate content. Such material is not permitted anywhere on Gaia.
Respectful Discussion
You are welcome to share your thoughts and feelings about political commentators or today’s events, but posts, threads, comments, journal entries, etc. that violate Gaia’s Terms of Service or Rules and Guidelines will be addressed according to policy. As a reminder, Gaia defines trolling as posting inflammatory material intended to offend or provoke an individual or group. Celebrating or encouraging violence, regardless of who it targets, is not acceptable and may be treated as trolling and handled according to our moderation policies.
We ask that everyone remain respectful toward one another during these discussions. Thank you for helping us keep Gaia a safe and welcoming community.
