For the love of god, yes! I voted to raise it to 10,000g - not very much, all in all, but hopefully enough to rid us of at least some of the "vote 4 me i need the golds!!!11". To be perfectly honest, I used to really enjoy the arenas, but because of all the crap you have to wade through to find anything that has an effort put into it at all, I stopped even bothering to click over there. :/

It will fend off new users wasting 1k and ensure you are serious about entering your avy.

I'd gladly pay 5k to enter an arena that was fair.

I can't speak for everyone but I know that I, and many of my friends, enter the arena for comments and constructive criticism of avi creations that have had time and effort put in, not just for a win.
Looking back over my last couple of entries all but one or 2 comments have been from friends. Likewise when they enter.

By all means up the fee, but while you're at it PLEASE try and fix the way avi's are "promoted" within the arena. The "new" tab never changes. Hardly fair.

P.S. Any chance of me EVER getting my 10k for placing 9th in week 45?

Perhaps before wondering if you should raise the fee you could fix it so that people who get less than 50 votes/comments don't walk away with a win and a really uninspiring avi to dumbfound us with... just an idea. talk2hand

No mater how much gold I had, I wouldn't enter the arenas if it were higher then 2k.
Simply because winning is not guaranteed.

No higher than 1k increase. People entering the arena have nothing to do with the stupid avatars in the spotlight. People wanting to post the next sakura or inuyasha are going to come up with the gold, and you would probably end up seeing them in the spotlight more often because instead of 10 inuyashas with idiotic 5 stars spread between them, you'll have a consolidation of 5 stars on one inuyasha, with no significant difference that is clear to me in anyone else's favor

Thats a weeks gold to someone like me and thats if it's a good week! 2k maybe to discurage noobs but 10k eek I got a better idea how about you have to be a member for 3-6 months before you can enter an avatar in the arena. Then maybe.... maybe the crap noob entries will let up some.
