Outfits shop. Does anyone actually buy from it?

The outfits market makes me really confused.

I mean, the whole concept makes complete sense and whatnot, it's just that I generally gage prices by the market information, so the idea of throwing a bunch of items all into one price makes me unsure of what to do. I walk in there and everything looks like it costs an arm and a leg, and yet at the same time everything looks like it could count as a misprice. I just have a ridiculously hard time judging what is going on in there.

Because of that, I usually avoid it. I mean, I bet it could be a profit point if I tried, but even the idea of trying (especially given my rudimentary vending skills) sounds like I might as well just...do actual work.

I completely forgot about that feature! I haven't looked at it since it was first released. The main problem with the outfit shop is that there's no way of refining your search.(except for narrowing it down to a certain price bracket.) Any of the outfits I saw for sale were ugly and overpriced. Now maybe if some of the ATers started selling outfits, I might be interested. But so far, I haven't seen anything there that I'd buy. I prefer to make my own outfits.

Never used it.
I don't even recall the last time I visited it. Never bought anything, never sold anything.
It was one of those things that from the moment it started had major flaws and I simply just don't care for the idea.

I like it enough, I plan on putting up some cheap but nicely done avatars for sale one day.

Not going to Lie I haven't really paid much attention to it since it was added. I guess it never really tickled my button ever to ever use it,I peered around in there once and saw mostly cluttered up items that looked horrid together but still had a hefty price tag on it even though all the items were pretty cheap.

Rather just buy the items separately anyways since I usually only by items I need after knowing what I want in an outfit.

I don't see the appeal of it. I like to dress up my avatar a lot, sometimes even several times a day, kind of like a doll. It's something I enjoy, and buying outfits someone else designed would just rob me of this tiny amount of enjoyable creativity.

I don't know many prize tags on the various items on this site, but i know some.
And i found a misprized item already on the first page : D

The outfits are almost always grossly overpriced, so I can't say that I have bought one yet.

I can't say I go there. I went there once and it was just a bunch of overpriced junk! I think it was a good idea, but it wasn't executed as well as it should've been. The idea is nice, but everyone sells their outfits for so much. :c

Not for the purchasing of outfits, but for matching outfits with that of Gaians who have their equipped items list invisible (that way I can, you know, figure out what these Gaians are wearing) cat_razz

Do you buy outfits or sell your own outfits?

Neither, but that doesn't mean I won't in the near, and dear, future either cat_rolleyes
In most cases, I just don't have outfits I'd like to sell (underpriced) yet AND I haven't found an outfit that has been, with items I want, a genuine good deal yet either cat_rolleyes

Although, it would be nice to see someone sell, for example, complete gold shop outfits or something, because that would make it awfully convenient when buying up such items in their entirety cat_rolleyes

Do you think it's a stupid idea and that gaia could have focused on something else?

No, I think its a wonderful, and overly expected, addition and I look forward to seeing more and more people using it (especially since, unlike tektek, the layering is guaranteed to be correct) cat_wink

It would be good if users could gain....arg, I can't think of the word. Credibility...Merit....by some sort of rating system. Like the avatar arena and lookbook rolled into one rofl
It's just hard to find anything good in ther amongst the swathes of crap.

I don't buy from the Outfit shop at all. It was a good idea in theory but it could use a lot more tweaking to make it appealing. I make my own outfits and don't sell them. If I sell something, it's one item, never an entire outfit.

Never have, never will. Most outfits are just newbs listing a bunch of crap for an outrageous price trying to hook a sucker and make money. It's not even about looks, as it was supposed to be.

It's basically just a way to unload multiple items at once.
