They said in AtA that they were going to start focusing on newer NPC's, so I'm not surprised that Saiph and Hatsya are in this update. I wish they'd stop introducing new characters for a while though. We just got Sen and Overseer a few months ago, Rigel and Mintaka this month, and something's telling me that whoever's putting the hit out on the Gambino's is a new character too.

I understand what you're saying... which makes me hope they put out all of the manga tomorrow, so that people aren't too grumpy.

Here's the thing, they've also said they're going to focus on older/already established NPC's. So I think it will likely be a combination of the two.

Well, most panels in the Fall manga had crescent moons in them, Zhi had a crescent symbol on his glove, and we've had one crescent moon so far in this update, hanging over the mansion again.

Then Saiph, Hatsya and two other star NPCs show up. I'm kind of convinced it's all related, and we'll get introduced to some kind of celestial baddie. :]

I have to agree, I'm more than a little tired of all these new guys running around. I'm all for Hatsya and Saiph being a part of this plot. Lanzer even said that the sparkles were leading up to something else.
I just don't think they're part of THIS piece. That was a WOMAN'S hand who picked up the letter, and, I hate to break it to you, Hatsya's no woman.

I think that sequentially it would totally make sense, but it just doesn't sit right for me... mostly because, like you said, she's not exactly a woman. XD It would explain the glowiness, but... I dunno. Maybe I'm wrong, and if I am, I won't mind, but for now I totally agree with you. XD;
