I mean, he had the Gambino fortune at his disposal and all Nic cares about is money anyways...

That depends on how much he had when he left?
If Nicolae allows him to take the airship back to the mansion, then perhaps he could pay him off, but how was he eating? Who was paying for nourishment and repairs and all that? Who knows how much he even has left?
Plus, a confrontation with [strike[Nicu [no longer worthy of that name] Nicolae means he's about to find out his dad's dead. Nicolae clearly recognizes right from wrong, even though he's gonna rip you off despite his better judgment. Perhaps witnessing Gino's dismay would make him pull a Snow White huntsman and let him go free?

Well, Nic isn't stupid, he knows who Gino is.
I'm pretty certain that he would allow Gino to pay him off to look the other way.
But then Nic's life would be in danger because he double crossed Cresendo...

I'm literally speechless after reading that update!

I'd rather Gino get all badass and kill Nicu or something than pay him off. I know Nicu has the amulet, but Gino (possibly?) has his mom's ghost as an awesome spirit guide, and two demigods for friends.

I kind of hope something awful happens to Nicu and Cres. I've never liked either of them, and Cres just comes off as a puss in this update.

It wasn't self-exile, Liam kicked him out. But I think Liam just used the crotch glow as an excuse to kick Gino out, since he'd kind of feel like Gino had been mooching off him for too long anyway. So even if Gino'd been cured, I could still see Liam using it as an excuse.
