complaining about Gaia stealing from Square,
how do you know if Gaia doesn't have a deal
with Square? O - O

Either way, I don't think Square cares that much, or any
of the other companies that this RIG parodied for that
matter. Besides, half of the items on Gaia are references
to other popular media. O v O

The individual in question writing it is not out publishing it or making any money in the process.

Adverts generated through page views IS money made via the fiction, just saying. Your argument is completely invalid.

You miss the point.
The person who wrote the fanfiction is not making any money from it. And I'm sure, in those senses, the company involved has already made deals with them through another party, say a manga store advertising on the manga section of the website. They're already interconnected anyway in that sense.
It's no different than the abridged series' on Youtube. They all fall under fair use anyways.

its a knock off of the rathalos armor from monster hunter,you can see the armor plates and red dragon scales,the giant double hand sword made from his bones and the armor set looks almost exactly like the rathalos armor in the game. good to see we are finally geting armor pieces from that game.

It's the same with this 'item' your crying about.

Gaia sells the RIG. (NOT the Sephiroth item.) In my example, this is a person loading a page with a related advert.

The page may or may not generate further revenue from a purchase, in this case, a user may or may not win this particular item.

Your problem lies in the fact that you cannot differentiate between profit/actuality.

Profit from a related source is STILL profit.

If I'm PAID to go out and sell magazines but don't sell a single one, I am STILL paid.

If I advertise on a page that I host a fan fiction I have written, I am PAID for advertising, even if nothing else happens. Such is the internet.

Obviosuly refering to me, and I don't mind being quoted.
If they already do, then I'll gladly stop. After all, evidence is on my side if they don't, and if they do, then my position will change with the new evidence. I'm not stuck on one path.
Parodies are different from making a copy, claiming your own, and then making a profit from it.

I'm sure you wouldn't like it if you were an artist, somebody replicated your most famous work, and sold it to a bunch of people would you?
