I think you're misunderstanding. They mean they will add new Animal items in Loyal's shop, not that they are getting rid of avatar-base items and replacing them with Animal items.
Dang never in my wildest dreams have I ever had that much gold. I would have wiped my wishlist clean if I did... I donated what I was willing to throw in, but I am after items so... yeah this isn't getting a lot of my gold. I know it's kinda worthless but worthless or not, its hard to come by.
I hope this isn't a let down like Elsyium's gate was. ^_^; The items were subpar and I only liked 3 of them.

If I churned out enough gold where I could buy anything I wanted when I wanted, I'd have no problem putting it into the gold sink. But I don't, and I barely get by so I have to be selfish and keep it to save up for what little I can get. A challenge is supposed to be fun, not frustrating.
I can verify through other sources that some user's not saying its you specifically are claiming the can't donate to the mini event so they are scamming players.

It's not that I CANT donate to the sink, it's that I WONT because I don't make enough to justify throwing it out instead of me saving up for something I can actually wear. I've already dumped 50m into this sink, they're not getting anymore.

I'd be more excited about new items in Loyal's shop if I didn't expect them to cost hundreds of millions or billions of golds. As it is, just like with Elysium's Gate, I doubt there will be anything there I can even get unless they give us something nice at the cheap end of the spectrum.
I tossed in 1000g just for sport, but I'll just buy any of the bugs I like off of the marketplace if they get cheap enough.
Those Limited Quantities in Loyal's Shop better be like 99,999/99,999.
They'll probably be 10b each, still only 999/999, and either gone within an hour from rich folk or sit for ages because it's a limited edition Shining Turd.

Anyway, I'm not a fan of the idea of LQIs in loyals at any price. Perhaps time limited things that only stay in a couple weeks, but not physically limited.
Well one of my fears about the Limited Quantity is they will look at Nekola and make them double the price of those. So if Nekola is 30b on mp then the Loyal items will be 60b.
Another concern is rich people will just buy all of them in minutes.

since I don't work for gaia I am sure the staff that does can and coud blas the users who are scamming other gaians. just saying. people who wanna cry poor mouth when they aint really poor.

I canpull my store log out and veryify all the amounts of gold user's have from end recied. thats just off mp. I can also have the mods, check my logs for trades. gift history.
