huh, reading through more discussion, this is kind of crazy, but the staff said it was a legitimate purchase?

using generated gold i assume

because 133T .. is about 3 succesful goldsink events

even for me, its impossible for me to acquire that much gold

that's easily 60+ angelic halos

unless someone was willing to buy 30 win gaia bundles... but to even sell it for pure will take time - lots of time

that guy that bought 7 win gaia bundles, is still selling his

so it's highly likely that 133T was auto-generated by gaia

So it does not occur to anyone that said Staff member cannot play on the site as a user-member, earn gold the same way as the rest of us and buy/use said ticket just like the rest of us. I also do not understand the reason for the very high price (unless item is not really worth that much and just assumed to be that by some people in the hyper-inflated economy), but it is the decision of that person to pay it just the same as the rest of us.

User Image

As I've stated before:
Staff purchased the ticket to remove it from the system. What other reason would there be?
The user that was taking offers on the ticket only got offers of about 3-4 halos worth. This user just had 133 trillion gold dropped in to their lap which is equivalent to 66 halos. All that time and effort to REMOVE gold from the system (as 133 trillion is equivalent to 2-3 gold sinks) is now in the hands of only 1 user on Gaia.

How did Artists get this gold? You can't surely tell me they received it from commissions on the site.. or from exchanging? Look at the artist's marketplaces.

Gold Grants. There can only be one option. Admin gold grants. This is why the gold is deemed legitimate.

They DO NOT grant themselves gold. They would get in trouble for that.
And you are assuming there aren't any members who do not have that much gold or items "worth a whole lot" when even I know there are people who are really "wealthy". B R A I N managed to get a ticket or two and he is/was one of the wealthiest members on Gaia. Way so much more than you and I.

BNe careful with name dropping, OP. It can get you in trouble.

User Image

I honestly, don't care if I called out staff because their story was BS.
All of the links and all of the URLS match the users who are STAFF.
The account is a mule of staff, so if that gets me in trouble so be it.

But at least the population has the truth.

-shrug-

I'm actually really confused as to why you are angry? People are buying art?

User Image

You're obviously completely blind.
This has zero to do with art. This has to do with a mule that came in to Gash's thread, said there was zero wrong with the economy and the sale was legit. Before NamesRina editted the screen shot, the name that is now crossed out in red was the user in question in this thread. The art post was to show you that the links in the post are from a staff artist's Photobucket.

This means that staff purchased the ticket for the equivalent of 66 halos when the ticket was getting offers originally of 3-4 halos. Now 133 trillion gold (which is the equivalent of 2-3 successful gold sinks) is in the hands of 1 user.

You don't think there is anything wrong with this?

I mean, maybe this staff person just made this art? I think staff are allowed to participate on the site if they want to. Maybe this girl got art from a staff member.

I think you need more concrete evidence than just a photobucket account.

Has it been confirmed that this is the person who bought the ticket?

Congratulations! You won a ticket that gives you the opportunity to partner with an artist to recolor an existing Evolving Item on Gaia!

Since the buyer is already a Gaia artist, why would they need to buy this item for that amount of gold?

Did the seller of the ticket reveal who bought his/her ticket?
You can probably find out more if you can track down who bought it at that price.

You should copy your whole first post on notepad or something in case some changes magically happen to it. :3

User Image

I already saved the original post, don't worry about that. wink

Also, before NamesRina editted their post in Gash's thread with the name of the user crossed out.. it had this user's name. This is what started the whole investigation. [Click here for the post]

B R A I N never had 133T in his account nor would he purchase an item that isn't worth 133T for 133T.

This was my fault for confusing the issue.

If the OP won't mind, I'll delete my confused post.

You might want to edit this into the OP so that you needn't repeat yourself each time someone raises the same question that I did? It makes it more clear why this is so suspect for those of us who aren't current with exchanging/item value/etc?

You THINK they don't grant themselves gold, but you do know that as FACT?
If an admin grants someone gold/items, they are deemed legitimate. Unless you know some other way a busy Gaian artist would make their money that doesn't include: Vending (because none of them have a high enough total in gold to reach even 1 trillion), Exchanging (none of them have posted exchange threads), or Commissions (because artists aren't able to open/maintain shops on Gaia.) then please do enlighten me.

BRAIN managed to be GIVEN a ticket from someone who PULLED it from a RIG. That is not the same as purchasing a ticket.

Same reason as any of us that wants something and gets tired of waiting because of whatever is going on where the Artists are not doing certain things that they want to? maybe it has something to do with what is in their own desk that they want to release and not able to for some reason. I often keep wondering what we are missing out on because of things they don't release. I read a post from an Artist quite some time ago when some of us were questioning why we could not get more than 3 or 4 recolors of Gold Shop items. They said they were allowed only so many at any given time. Or something to that affect.

So, wait... You're saying that the staff purposely bought a ticket to remove it from the system, or that they're purposely introducing a large amount of generated gold (to depreciate gold)?.....

I am guessing that part

bec. i have an obsidian ticket i've been trying to "claim" for 3 months now

i understand 3 months production.. but to claim a ticket taking morethan 3 months is just --- i dunno.. i cant help but think the delay was intentional

Hmmmm, I can't help but think that if they're that far behind on tickets... just stop releasing ticket RIGs for a while until they catch up...... Three months is a hella long time for a ticket... I assume (maybe I'm making an a** of myself only) that they've communicated production delays with regards to your ticket?

I am only "claiming" it... meaning no production started yet... i have no 100% approval on my proposals... gaia replied to my emails in 3 days.... then 2 months ... then 3 weeks ... email replies shouldn't take long. And despite all of that, no approval yet..so production hasn't started. I am still in the claiming process. My other tickets, took 2-3 business days to get approval ... my last claim for rainbow tickets and platinum took about 10-20 business days for approval

so i cant help but think gaia isn't interested in going forward with the obsidian emo
