Heaven has no rage like love to hatred turned,

Vanity's golden eyes looked up at the new woman approached the bar. Vanity watched her as she moved towards her. She was sweet and friendly and Vanity felt very protective over that. She thought back to Kai's veiled threat, part of her would enjoy crushing her- the part of her that had been ingrained into her since she was a young, new fledgling. Part of her wanted to go back to the days of war. Back to when she had an army at her disposal. When her room was decorated in werewolf fur and it was custom to wear their canines around your neck like trophies. The stronger, more sensible part of her wanted to keep the peace and wouldn't make a move until Kai did something utterly stupid.

A gracious smile pulled at her soft, kissable cherry lips as she complimented the inn and Vanity would nod as a soft "Thank you," sounded from her throat. She inquired next about how she came about it. Vanity's smile widened subtly. "I had it built here." she told her. "The outside is an exact replica of the home I grew up in." she told her, "The inside was all planned and designed by yours truly." Her eyes shifted at the sound of a violin, though. She took another sip of her wine, savoring this glass. She watched the strange figure prance towards her and her deceptively innocent face took on a bemused expression.

He croaked at the women and she stared hard, tilting her head as she tried to figure out why. He didn't look anything like a frog- then again she had never seen someone who did other than odd-looking humans. "Uhh..." she said softly, biting her lower lip in utter confusion. "...and who are you?" she eventually asked, sipping from her glass again. Perhaps she needed to finish this faster after-all.

Aurora's motorcycle revved up as she came upon this place deep in the woods. She had a grin on her face. Another vacation was very much needed. And here she could have rest. She'd heard of this place from a friend, elf girl. She said they accepted the freaks. Hell, that was good enough for her. She drove up to the Inn and stopped her motorcycle, revving it one last loud time before turning it off. She swung her leather adorned leg over the bike and jumped off. She stood there smirking, eyeing the tall building. "Well hello there...it's go time. Ready or not here I come."
Aurora sauntered in, hips swaying and smiled as she eyed the beautiful lobby. "Damn, swank!" She echoed in the lobby. "I can dig it. Yo, Earie you in here!?" Confused faces would probably look her way but she didn't care. She would simply smile at them and give a wink if they did.

But I'm smiling at everything.

Earane was asleep in the woods when suddenly she was awoken by the loud noise of a bike. With ice in her hair and blue lips she stood and saw the lights...yep just as she expected. Aurora Pendragon. Her friend from the United Kingdom in this day and age. The one who kept her up to date with everything in this world. She followed the beams of light until they shut off, them kept going in that direction. Earane stepped inside not far after Aurora. She looked upon her, shivering. "Aurora...help." Earane managed to pipe out. She was very weak and nearly frostbitten. Elf or not, cold was cold. It effected everyone the same.

As he eyed her ever more, and with an even more deeper stare after asking who he was. he simply shrugged letting the grip of his violin go as they fell toward the ground they would vanish in a puff of purple smoke and glitter. His tongue sticking out only to be bit half way, as he skipped back on the balls of his feet so he could be in her entire view. As his right arm swept up and just under his chest, his left arm curved around his back and with a soft low bowl he spoke in a fake royal voice.

"I am Prince, Earle, Duke, Loki Voncross, of the land of make believe and unicorns." As he stood up he turned to face the girl who called him a squirrel his lips quivering in a pout as he held his tail tightly to his side. " I'm not a squirrel, I'm a giant pinata filled with steaks, Merlot, and a mixture of candy and kittens." As he spun with a laugh he rested so his gaze was once more on the woman who had greeted him first. "Pleasure to meet you, Queen pretty eyes."

Outside all was dark. This made it the perfect time for Marhand. He stepped from the shadows cast by the forest, seeming to appear from nothing. He was pale skinned with jet black hair and dark eyes. He stood at roughly six feet tall and was well dressed, a perfectly tailored suit of black wool covering a white dress shirt and red tie, a lapel pin mounted ruby finishing out his attire. He smiled slight before stepping out from the forest and walking up to the front doors to the building. He didn't reach out to open the door as others would, opting instead for a simple wave of the fingers in his right hand, the door responding to his desire and opening slowly, only to close once he was through. The well dressed man looked at the scene before him appreciatively, admiring the work that had obviously gone into the structure. He could hear the voices of people in the next room, which once he approached he found to be the bar. He was silent a moment, taking in the scene before moving inside. He moved to the bar, taking a seat in silence. By appearance there was really nothing wrong with him, nothing special. However those who could feel the aura of a person or find their scent would find nothing. A area of emptyness surrounded the man as if he hadn't entered and sat at the bar.
"Huh... huh."

Just outside of the establishment sits a black Rolls Royce. Beautiful car, but it looks like it has sen better days. Regardless of how beaten up and ready to beak down it looks, this does not stop the owner from casually perching himself against it.. Or slamming the door he had only just exited, shut. The car seems to quiver dangerously, but miraculously remains standing.

With a raised eyebrow, the young man who owns the car, stared up at the establishment that sat before him. It wasn't what he had expected in the least.

Well, not that he had expected to come here, but he was not actually going to admit to anyone, ever, that he was lost. That's a little secret he'll keep hidden away, deep inside his soul. Pushing himself off from the car, he decides it is time to approach.

Two minutes later, the man has gone straight through the front door. He's dressed smart, and gives a slight air of.. old world class. A plain black suit, hat to match. Black shoes with a shine, and a charming grin that could melt the pants off of Olivia Newton-John, playing Sandra Dee in Grease.

He heads straight for a counter or receptionist, casually whipping his hat off to hold it in his hand, revealing ridiculously neat brown hair. The man runs a hand through it, before looking for a tiny bell that he can ding.

He is met with great disappointment.

Her big, emerald eyes would look around the bar. She was in awe of everything. When she chose this location, never did she expect such a wonderful, brilliant place. Everything in here was absolutely exquisite. Everything in the Inn was impressive. As Vanity spoke to her, slowly, she'd look back towards her lovely hostess, eyes widening further as she told her the Inn's short story. "I can't believe you-" she stopped short in her words, though. Vanity's distraction became her own. The violinist caught her attention too and, evidently, the attention of the other two she saw on the front porch earlier. Sophia laughed. Once for the man's greeting and another time for the white-haired woman's response to it.

Of course, once Nikolai wheeled himself in, she'd be enamored once more. Long dark hair and pecs that she ached to touch. Her emerald eyes glanced to the man she came in with. It seemed, to her, that they were just friends although it was hard to hold hands when one had to roll himself around. She assumed, because it's what she would do, that if they were an item, the woman would push him out of affection and courtesy. She didn't, though. She looked back to Vanity and the man who... croaked... at her and slowly slid towards Nikolai and the woman. She sat herself, boldly, on a bar stool beside him, leaning her elbow farthest from him onto the bar stool, resting her soft, porcelain face on a dainty closed fist. A fist that had never known a fight. "I never caught your name," she said quietly, under the buzz inside the bar. Her large doe-eyes watching his handsome face. "I'm Sophia." she said, although she was sure that he heard her inform Vanity earlier. Still, she was polite like that.

Heaven has no rage like love to hatred turned,

Suddenly, all around her, the tavern was buzzing with life. She could barely believe how quickly a place could fill but then again, it reminded her of the days in the mansion, when it was never empty. He smarted off the Kai, if only for a moment and she smiled, stopping any chuckles from voicing by clearing her throat. Her kissable lips still grinning, though. She visibly seemed to relax, even with such a strange being standing before her, tossing compliments at her like she would respond as if she was a blushing school girl. Vanity was anything but. She did smile, and play nice, however. "Loki, huh?" she mused before bringing her glass of wine to her soft lips once again, and letting the rich red wine slid effortlessly down her throat after coating her tongue with wonderful taste.

"That's an interesting name." she said softly, knowing well she was partly ignoring is compliments. "A creature of mischief, I assume." the vampiress purred. "My name is Vanity Varcainen." giving him no titles, although she had many. "And the pleasure is mine." she retorted, sipping her wine once again. She swirled it in her cup, looking at it a moment. Almost half empty. "Well, what brings you here?" she wondered, her free arm moving back as she rested her forearm on the bar counter currently supporting her slender back.

Kai would of course find herself behind the bar just as a plethora of new faces began wandering in.
Gold eyes glanced over at Vanity who, admittedly, seemed a little busy with the ah...Lordy Crazy, over there.
The little wolf knew she didnt work here..but still...if the options were 'ask new people for their drink orderes' or 'watch a lilly handed socialite flirt with Nikolai' then she knew which one she was going to pick.

The little wolf glanced at the man who had seated himself at the bar - Marhand, though she didnt yet know his name - and gave him a small grin of greeting as she tried to ignore the crazy purple man in the background, who was busy declaring himself lord of this-and-that, much to her amusement. There was a tinge of slow patience to her voice when she spoke, as if she were rather accustomed to crazy people being in her background.
"Welcome." she said simply, as she reached under the bar to grab a bottle for herself, setting it on the counter. "Can I get you anyt- oh, hold on."
Kai looked up at the man just outside the hallway, glancing around with vaguely lost eyes.
"Over here, mate." she called to him, beckoning him to the bar, before speaking to the both of them. "Can I get you two gentleman anything?"

Off to the side, she could see the little cupcake of a new girl simpering at Niko, and she had to resist the urge to roll her eyes.
Of course, Kai probably didnt exactly make the best impression herself.
She was dressed, but only just, though the mens button up she wore could have been long enough to be considered a slightly risque dress, and it was that perfect length that always made you unsure if the woman was actually wearing shorts underneath its folds or not.
The man turns to look at the person who called his name. He peers at her, his brown eyes squinting as he tries to get a better idea of what she looks like. Honestly, he doesn't care if he seems rude.

A few moments later, the man comes striding into the room. Standing at about 6'1, he isn't the biggest or most muscular man in the room- He even pauses to glance at Nicholai, giving a slightly confused glance towards the man, before proceeding towards the woman who had asked if she could get anything for him.

Rookie mistake.

"I'm going to need two gin and tonics, a rope that is a little longer than that couch, but shorter than you, three different kinds of vanilla scented candles and a bucket of M&M's, but only the red ones. They need to be hand picked and seperated."

A smirk breaks across his face, and he stares the young woman down, taking a moment to make it clear that he is examining every inch of her in that moment.. Yet, he remains perfectly still, and at a very comfortable distance from her.

"Are you wearing pants?"

Nikolai Crowe

Kai's comment had a little bite to it, and as he might have guessed, she shared his reservations. It was distracting, but seeing as how Vanity was playing hostess to many guests he doubted he'd be able to discuss it any with her further.

The bar was packed by Nikolai's definition. He'd become accustomed to the usuals at the bar and it actually unnerved him a little. Laughing at little at Kai's description of the... fox-man? He described himself a little differently, but cutting through the chatter of friends and strangers, the blonde woman appeared basically beaming at him.

"Nikolai", he said, "It's nice to meet you Sophia." He glanced around for a moment looking for John, not seeing him, he took it upon himself. "Can I get you something to drink?"

Loki was busy looking around by the time she had spoken, his eyes looking at all the pretty people. So many, so many lickable faces and tickly tummies. As she she asked him such an odd question he would look down at his feet, his arms wrapping around his bakc as he rocked upon them for a moment before looking up at her, head cocked to the side as he spoke. "My feets, my feets are what brought me here." Giggling softly he reached deep in a pocket of his vest his tongue sticking out once more, one eye closing tight as he fidgeted about.

As he pulled his hand free, opening his fingers inside sat a small candy wrapped in gold and green wrappings. The scent it released smelled strong of fresh strawberries and a hint of rich cocoa
. "Want,? I make. I told you i was full of candies. Loki is a Pinata, full of surprises and yummies. And the word you said, mischief yes full of that too. But only to the grumpies." with a wide bright smile his hand extended out further to her.
Marhand was about to respond to the woman behind the bar when another man beat him to it. He listened to the other mans order and immeditately had to force himself not to kill the man, as easy as that would be. A flick of his fingers would find a poisoned needle sticking from the mans carotid artery. With a deep breath he repressed that desire, focusing instead on the woman behind the bar once again.

"Whiskey, single malt, best you have served neat."

"Nikolai." she said, her voice soft and kind, much like the softness in her eyes. She barely noticed anyone else in the room anymore. He really was the single most beautiful man she had seen in a long, long time. "I would love y-" she stopped, laughing at herself a moment. "I would love for you to get me a drink." she said softly. Her cheeks blushed to the color of a pink wine and she looked down, embarrassed for a moment or two. It took her just a few seconds, thirty or so, to shake her nerves and rustle up the moxie to look him in the face again. "What does a man like you drink?" she asked, a coy smile on her pink, pouty lips.

He probably could have guessed from looking at her, but she was not a heavy drinker, and she wasn't embarrassed by it. Sophia was a lady, a dame. She enjoyed a strong man doing things for her like opening doors and jars she couldn't quite twist off herself. She adjusted herself, fixing her posture and laying her hands over each other. Her large doe-eyes shifting between Nikolai and the bar, as if trying to guess his taste on her own.

Kai blinked slowly at the man with the slicked back hair, leaning forward to prop her elbows on the counter as he rattled off his list, resting her chin on top of her fist as she slowly arched an eyebrow at him with each passing word, very obviously making no move what so ever to even pretend to look like she was getting those things.
By the time he stopped for breath, a small grin was tugging at one corner of her lips, white hair spilling in a tangle over her shoulder as she looked up at him, head still propped negligently on her hand.
"Do those M&M's need to be sorted by a harem of beautiful, scantily clad women, wearing only the finest silks as well?" she asked with mock seriousness, though she was unable to keep the amusement out of her voice. "Or will my plain old hands do?"
A glance down at herself and her very bare legs informed that, indeed no, she was not wearing pants, but she couldn't keep the mischievous grin off her face as she answered.
"And maybe I am, maybe i'm not. But we're not good enough friends yet for me to give you a peek, so I guess you'll just have to sit there and endure the mystery."

Warm hands brushed her hair absently away from her face as she grinned up at him with that faint little half grin that lingered only in the corner of her lips.
"Besides. You didnt say 'please'."

Gold eyes glanced back to Marhand, and gave him a nod and a small smile as well. There was something...disconcerting, about this man, though she wasnt quite sure what it was. There was something about him that just...no, that wasnt right. There was nothing about him. That was the problem...
Nostrils flared to try and catch his scent, but came back empty. Gold flickered with intrique for a moment - that was certainly a new trick - but she busied herself with making his drink rather than prying.
Fingers that were obviously well practiced in the art of finding and pouring liquor danced over the bottles on display, finding the apropriate one after a few moments of scanning the unfamiliar shelves. Her other hand took down a little glass tumbler and set it before the man as she poured the whiskey, capping the bottle when she was done and setting it nearby so she could refill it when asked and adding an polite 'any thing else for you, dear?' at the end of her pour.

"See?" she asked the man with the slicked back hair when she was done, lips flickering into a grin again. "He knows how to order properly."
