Welcome to Gaia! ::

Seishi stretched her arms over her head as she walked down the stairs into the bar area. She had made her rounds in the area to make sure everything was okay and, luckily, there wasn't much for her to do. So...it was time for a reward-cup-of-coffee. Looking over the faces, noting all of them were familiar, she turned and saw Rune behind the bar and quietly walked over. Seishi grinned before hopping over the counter and carefully hugging the shorter woman. "JieJie, would you like some coffee or anything else other than..." she sniffed the glass, smirking a bit, "...whiskey? Really, that must run in your family. You and your son would be content to live in a pool of it."
Rune smirked slightly at Seishi's comment, but shook her head. "No, thank you MeiMei - I'm fine with the whiskey." She lifted her glass and then took another sip, swirling its contents around a few times. "How are you, Seishi?"
"I'm doing pretty decent, haven't seen Vice up and around lately...I hope he's okay..." she frowned a bit before shaking her head. "...how are you doing?" the unsaid question being about Jace, but she knew not to voice that.
"Fine." Rune responded in a somewhat clipped tone of voice, taking another sip of her whiskey. "I've just been with Micah for a few days. He's been gone so often, we have a lot of catching up to do." She chuckled, shaking her head. "It's a good thing I had the furniture made with us in mind..."
Jade looked back torwards the kitchen and thought for a minute. "Okay." She said as she looked over to see the same woman that was there the other night. Jade nodded and smiled to the woman before looking through the kitchen door. There had to be something about Tristan that he wasn't telling Jade. No one got bit by a vampire, and escaped the venom. At least, she had never met anyone who could. She didn't know what to think, but she wanted to find out.
Seishi smirked a bit, "Indeed. It wouldn't be good to be constantly replacing it, that would just get really irritating." she paused and bent down, kissing Rune on the top of her head. "It's good to see you back to normal, JieJie."

Tristan was out of the kitchen shortly after, taking whatever plates were left behind the moment Seph was finished. He hardly spared anyone a glanced, shifting around the half naked woman that he would have otherwise drooled over, and her beautiful counterpart. He went right back to finished the dishes, polishing off the very last of them, and then swiftly turned to drying and putting everything back away in their respectful places.

Minutes later he was back out, reaching behind himself to play his his long hair. It felt nice being down once in awhile, but really, he should take care of this. He pulled out a piece of ribbon from his pocket, tying his hair tight in a low ponytail before taking his seat again. He just nursed his water, glancing over the shelves of alcohol and the scenery. He felt so... shut in. No proper circulation. Too dark. It only truly bothered him now.

Rune just sighed, and then finished off the glass of whiskey, looking at the empty cup mournfully. She considered pouring another glass for herself, but she knew that Seishi would scold her for it, so instead she just set the glass on the bar, settling into a seat behind the counter.
Seishi smiled a bit, "If you want more whiskey, I'm not one to stop you. I've had days that I pretty much wanted to get a curly straw and a bottle of gin." she leaned on the countertop, watching Rune. "Do you want to talk about anything? Or should I go make some brownies?"

Eloquent Hunter

Seph looked up to Seishi and gave her a friendly wave before watching her go over to Rune to talk. He payed attention to their conversation, also being sure to keep his eyes and ears open for Tristan and Jade in conversation. Sure eavesdropping was rude, but Seph was far to curious to figure out everything he could. Sure he would ask questions but he was locked between Tristan and Jade at the moment. besides they seemed to enjoy their private conversations, at least, as far as he could tell. He knew they were close so it was obvious to let them talk for the time being. But so help him he would get his chance to unleash his furious curiosity upon the masses.

He then looked over to Jade and frowned a bit, "Sorry I could not gather more information. Battle has a strange way of becoming confusing very quickly," he said in a sad tone. He truely had no idea what to say in these situations. Usually he avoided them as much as possible, but he knew that this was different. He gave her a sympathetic smile trying to cheer her up a little, though, he figured sympathy was the last thing someone wanted to be cheered up with.

He then looked over to Tristan as he got back and was completely in the dark about how to handle this situation. Usually on his world warriors had a silent agreement they never talked about it. It was something that was respected, though, that did not prevent Seph from asking questions, it was considered respectful, so perhaps it was on this world. He just had no other frame of reference. If Tristan wanted to talk about it, then he would talk about it, as far as Seph was concerned anyways.
Rune gave Seishi a somewhat childish, wide-eyed glance. "Brownies...?" She gave a tiny smile. In spite of the fact that Rune required very little solid food to survive, she was a sucker for sweets. Chocolate especially. Chocolate made everything better.
Seishi grinned and stood, her hands on her hips. "I knew that would do it. I'll get them started." humming to herself, Seishi walked back into the kitchen, pulling down bowls and needed along with the ingredients. A few minutes later, she walked back out to talk with rune as she waited for the brownies to bake. "Give them a bit."
Jade looked over at seph and smiled. "Oh don't worry about it." She said with a smile. She looked back over at Tristan, hoping he would notice her there. She wanted to know why he did want any confrintation with her. It wasn't fair to her, but more importantly, it wasn't fair to Soluna. Jade knew how Soluna looked at Tristan after last night. He could ignore her all he wanted to, but to Ignore her five year old daughter, well, that was rude.

Soluna looked over a Tristan and decided enough was enough. She wanted to know what was wrong, and she was fearless about it. She knew that she was young and no one would really yell at her but her mother. Soluna crawled down from from the bar stool, and walked over to where Tristan was sitting. "Twistan, Whats Wong?" Soluna asked, very politely and very cutely. She didn't want to upset him, he seemed kinda down.
Rune pouted, resting her head in her arms out the counter and wriggling impatiently in her chair. "But... but... brownies nooooooow...." She whined. She was glad to be distracted from her thoughts about their new guest, and to instead talk about silly things like brownies and whiskey.
"Patience makes the stomach fonder, JieJie." she grinned and poured Rune another glass of the whiskey she had been drinking earlier. Neat, of course. "Now here. Relax, drink a little, tell me how Micah is doing...Or, rather, you and Micah."
