~The Caravan Inn is located on Gambino Island’s sparsely populated Northern coastline, built upon the ancestral property of Asherah Eria, its owner and proprietor. Bordering a lush, tropical rainforest preserve, it sits astride the sugary white sands of Tarlem’par Beach. The main building is two stories tall, constructed out of sun-bleached driftwood. It contains multiple facilities – on the first floor, a waiting and reception area for the bungalows and massage huts, a shop that sells enchanted items and doubles as a magical apothecary, and a dining room with accompanying kitchen, a patio bar and restrooms. On the second floor is Asherah’s place of residence, accessible only by way of her caravan-themed magic shop at the east end of the house.
~The first floor is open to all guests as well as to the fresh ocean breezes that pass between the pavilion-style reception area and the open-air kitchen at the far end of the house. The waiting room is a lounge space which looks out over the pristine shoreline and is spotted with comfortable and versatile seating for any and all guests. Up a small landing is the spacious dining area, part of which is in full view of the kitchen. The flooring is its own work of art; an undersea mosaic crafted by the proprietor herself and enchanted to move at the guests' behest. Another, smaller dining space is closed off from the waiting room for those guests who would prefer privacy with their meal. For those who would prefer a more relaxed atmosphere, there is a side patio and open bar at the south side of the house.
~The inn's atmosphere is meant to evoke a feeling of openness and colorful mysticism. A significant portion the Inn’s facade is actually wide sliding doors, left open during hours of business and favorable weather to allow the sunshine and tropical breeze entry to the interior, as well as providing patrons with a perfect view of the beach. The color scheme inside is bold and inviting, a mixture of red, purple, and burnt yellow. Silky curtains and hangings are strewn throughout the building in doorways, leaning from corners, and drifting in the open like medieval standards. They are especially prominent in the waiting room, letting patient customers sit and relax amongst billowing clouds of silk and cotton as they wait to be attended to. The style is based upon the fashions of her people, and often invoke comparisons to exotic gypsy and Arabic themes.
~The shop sells a wide variety of potent concoctions and magical accessories, not to mention Oracle card readings by Asherah herself, on request. The only room in the house not open to the air, a single, curtained window casts an enchanted haze over the incensed alcove. Coating the south and eastern walls of the shop are shelves of goods for sale—being the most expensive to maintain, the items in this section of the house are Asherah's only source of income—including magical items and potions crafted by the proprietress herself.
~Separate from the main building are twenty bungalows strewn along the beach, offering travelers and patrons a place to stay as long as they desire, free of charge. Cozy and accommodating, each small residence has been built and furnished with comfort in mind. Tile flooring and vaulted roofs keep each house cool during the sunny days, while enchanted curtains, which can be pulled across the open-air surroundings, keep out the chilly night air.
~There are also a few small huts not far from the inn, providing privacy for those in need of a healing massage (but no “happy” endings!). A old, tiny pier sits some ways down the beach, providing a place for travelers to moor their watercraft and the means through which the inn receives most of its supplies.
