A small spark ran up her spine as he touched her side. Asherah whimpered a bit as their bodies couldn't quite meet, those robes were a subtle nuisance. As Zig pulled her to his chest further, her arms snaked about his neck slowly. And as he broke the kiss for a second, she sipped in some air before going back for more. Zig shouldn't have felt insecure at all, he was pushing all the right buttons, Ash was drinking it up. But soon, that familiar dull pressure made itself known. Pulling away from the kiss, Asherah huffed a bit, looking up to him. She was contemplating. Though, she had already made up her mind.

"Zig...?"

"You can cut that sexual tension with a knife!"

"Cut what?"
"The tension."
"You said sexual."
"Sweet lord have mercy. SHHH."

A quiet breath between the two of them. It was a good thing his robes were on, at that moment, his heart working desperately to break from his ribs. Quietly, his thumb stroked along the lenght of her chin, and he looked long into her eyes with a longing even he wasn't fully in control of.

"Asherah?" He whispered, hoping she wouldn't ask him to stop, or regret accepting the kiss to begin with.

Tip toeing up a little, she went for another kiss, but stopped herself just as they're lips brushed. She was getting antsy, her nerves were getting the best of her. And she just couldn't decide what she should do. It was a tall order, and she couldn't handle rejection.

"Umm. Wou.."

Her eyes went to the direction she had went to change. Then back. Then back again, until she settled on his eyes, and a sentence.

"Would you..mm..like to see my bedroom.."

"Oh s**t! They are going to make babies!"

"SEE? I told you!"
"How much do I owe you."
"Five bucks."
"This is robbery." Phoebe dug in her coin purse and slapped the cash on her sisters a**.

He snuck another short kiss as their lips brushed, and then she glanced to the stairs, and back, and forth. And as she spoke, his voice caught briefly. His brain tried, once again, to go to protocol, but it was more than just his heart fighting against it now. His blush returned in full force. "...Sh... Sure... Yeah, I'd like that." He whispered, taking her hand in his once again.

Grinning a bit, Asherah started walking backwards a bit, keeping eye contact with him until she turned tail and excitedly towed him into the magic shop and up the steps.

"GOOOO
AALLLL!!"

Quietly, dejectedly, a pair of glasses turned to a magic rod. "...We just got totally ditched, didn't we?"

"Hey, man. Be gracious." The rod responded. "My last owner was a freak."

The next morning, which was totally not two weeks later, Zig came down from the Miss Eria's room in the clothes of the previous day. A constant use of the age old prestidigitation technique had kept wizards in one of three sets of robes for a very long time. But he just liked these robes. They weren't particularly fancy, but they were warm when they needed to be, cool when they needed to be. He liked that.

All the same, as he came to the bottom of the stairs, a pipe fox and a stoat rounded the bend with him, tackling one another and rolling under a nook in the front desk. He chuckled, pushing his glasses back up his nose. His feet carried him to the magic shop as she had instructed him, and he looked around quietly. The sun hadn't risen yet, but it was light enough in the room to look around. The wares of the store were all of an exceeding quality. He really was quite impressed with the person who manufactured them, given the exceeding care placed into each object.

His hands found their way back into his pocket, and a blush crept over his face. Those girls... what were they're names... Chloe and Phoebe. He could just imagine the things they'd say to him when they came to this morning. Mostly things about him getting busy with Asherah, no doubt. Not that he'd mind, so much. He was really more worried about Asherah being embarrassed by the extra attention.

It was too early for the girls to stir, they had another few hours of sleep left in them. Instead, there was a serene silence about the inn. There was nothing but a gentle breeze playing with the hallowed sounding wind chimes and the sound of the ocean lapping at shore.
Asherah took a small amount of time to get dressed, it was another elaborate, flowing outfit. Though, this one managed to be a bit more modest than the last. Just a bit. Smoothing her hands over her body a bit to fight off any wrinkles or kinks, Ash sighed gently as she began to light the many ornate and colorful lanterns about the rooms with a few swipes of her hand.

"Looks like it's going to be nice and warm today." She said softly as she moved to open the large sliding front doors. "Nice and calm.."

Pushing them both open, she clapped her hands together a bit before spinning on her heel to look and smile at Zig.

Zig couldn't help but smile as she approached, nodding. "Few places left in the world you can truly call calm, anymore. Worth cherishing it, really." He took in the sight of her in her dress, and though she was more covered than before, a thought hit his mind. Or, more directly, hit his mouth, since there was no way a these words ever passed a tactful filter.

"You know, I've seen you naked now. So everything you do, I see naked." He blurted, his brain going over the words a few seconds late before he nodded with a determinate shrug. He'd be okay with it. "So, darling, you had a myriad of things you wanted to show me? And though these things are nice," he gestured to his side, the shelves of magic rings. "and clearly made by a professional, I detect they weren't your intent?"

He wanted to take her into his arms. He wanted to wrap his hands around her body. And in this instinct, he refrained. The sun would be up soon, and he wasn't quite sure how she felt about more public displayed of affection.

Asherah giggled and smiled as she moved towards him, a hand sliding over his before taking it up and pulling him along. Heading into the magic shop once more, she went behind the counters.

"I wanted to show you the library, Zig." Pausing, she rustled through a small book she had picked up from under one of the shelves. "It's a little messy, I'm afraid.. I'm sorry."

Flipping through the pages, she exclaimed quietly as she pulled out a bit of paper. It was another seal very much so like the once from her room. Turning, she pushed aside a curtain and smacked the seal to the wall before running her thumb over it. The portal opened.

"After you."

He nodded briefly, smiling wider at her touch and walked his way into the portal, his hands working out a basic Light spell and casting forward.

There was a scent of aged paper that permeated the stone slabs and winding halls of this massive library. Wherever this portal led, it was off grounds. The musk of the dank catacomb hit him square in the face, but being so accustom to wizard libraries, the scent was far from unfamiliar. Cobwebs filled the hall, and some real ones as well, although the darkness gave no nourishment, and any occupants may long since have dispersed.

The light was all the light the room had. Zig gave a quiet nod. "I can work with this." He began, pushing his glasses further up his nose. "First things first, I need to get some organization going." He turned to her, his hand returning to touch her fingers once again. "I'm going to need to make a small army of Homunculi to get this room fixed up with any haste, but I think I can manage, all things considered." He broke from her grasp, his hand even lingering briefly in the air as he moved to the first, most obvious shelf before him, picking up a book.

"Ah bum bum... how to make... bum... carrot?" He shook his head briefly. "Uh. Might not be what I'm looking for, this is a cook book." He said in a matter of fact tone, as if it didn't ever dawn on him there would be anything else. Setting the book on the shelf once more, his fingers traced from binding to binding. "Is there any in here you know for certain go into more detail in our species?"

Asherah crossed her arms dantily and smiled as Zig hesitated to let her hand go then went to took up a random book from the nearest stack. His affection was adorable. Though that happened to be the books she used often. There were cook books, minor enchantments, minor summons. Little things to help her out around the Inn.

"That's my go to book pile." She said lightly. "A few rows back should be where you'd want to look."

Zig nodded, scurrying from in front of her to around a row and toward the back. For several minutes, there was silence, the occasional frumping of books and the heaving of one wizard trying to heft around books that probably weighed as much as the Lady Asherah. And this carried on for several minutes until something slightly unusual took place. Off in the distance, a quite "
Huh. The book looks kinda funny.", before a loud pop, a flash of bluish light, and the distinct sound of a sack of meat and bone hitting a stone wall.

"...I think I found a Grimoire!"

As Zig wandered away, Asherah gave a lighthearted sigh before looking about the large room. He was right, it did need some cleaning. Well, not some, lots. Looking down at a dusty mountain of books, Ash slid her hand over the filth, moving it away to see what it was-- until Zig spoke up.

"Oh?" It would sound distant to him, but her footsteps would indicate her moving towards him. "There's a few of those scattered about around here. Though, only a small handful worth reading.."

Scooting herself right up against him, she tip toed up a bit to have a look.

His robe was smoking a bit, and his hair was standing on end in every damned direction. A brief sigh, and he nuzzled close, pointing at a large, leather bound book with gold dipped corners and ribbing. "That one." He groaned, lightning arching off his lips briefly. "...It's got enough to warrant a ward on it. Lightning. That... uh... ow." He leaned his head back and closed his eyes, giving a brief, negatively charged sigh.

The book in question gave off a deep, royal purple glow. An intricate seal of arcane symbols and glyphs covered every inch of the binding, and it reacted with fury to the touch of a wizard. There was a scent thick in the air, burnt dust, a streak of ash lining the floor between the book and where Zig landed, to indicate where it had scorched the filth.

"...If I can get that upstairs, I can probably study the glyphs and undo the ward. Cause... Dammit, that hurt." He reached around limply for a moment before finding paydirt against the stone, gripping the cobblestone floor and forcing himself up. For a wizard, squishy though they notoriously are, he had some tenacity to him. Were she to look to his face, behind his glasses and above his robe, a wicked grin had spread across his face. "Anything with a ward like that is gonna be good enough to work for."

The lust of a wizard, with a narrow barrier between him and some new power. He cleared his throat, checking that very human emotion to become overpowered by such lust, and a snap of his fingers issued yet another prestidigitation, cleaning himself and his burns. Still, he winced at even the small expenditure of mana, his knees buckling. His hand braced the floor as his legs crumpled. "...Uh... Can I get... one of those potions upstairs..." He coughed briefly. The ambient feeling of charged air, not to mention the burning smell that had covered him moments ago, he'd probably taken a substantial electrical blow.
