Welcome to Gaia! ::

Tali sat right next to him and leaned against him, very tired. She hoped that even by being close would make him feel better, she obviously could not talk to him to comfort him so eventually fell asleep, still purring.
Griff looked up at her, then inching closer, layed his head on her lap, purring softly as he forced himself to the do the same. He closed his eyes, glad for her protective weight on him. He sighed as he forced himself to relax, slowly falling to sleep as well.
In the dimly lit room, on the second floor of the tavern, layed a teenage boy. His eyes where open, watching the beauty in his arms, laying next to him. His crimson bangs fell over to his right eye, since he was laying on his right side. Under the blankets that covered the two, his hands held her at her sides. His dark eyes where set on her, his breathing was quite, like he wasnt. But his chest rose and fell silently. Today could be his last, and he knew it.
David awoke from his deep slumber, still tired and very groggy. there was an odd feeling in the bottom of his stomach, like there was a huge, heavy ballon that kept inflating and inflating. It made him feel sick, like the angel was about to puke at any moment; in fact, he almost wished he would, so he might feel better, and get rid of the horrible feeling.
He lay there for five minutes. Then ten. Ten quickly turned into fifteen, and so on - he just didnt want to get out of bed. Even so, he wanted to do something, something that would take all of his effort, all of his mind, so that he could evade his thoughts, just as powerful as what had happened the day before.
David lay silent, thinking, crying, hoping.
Tali woke up still laying next to Griff and moved carefully so she wouldn't wake him up. She stretched then looked around to see if anyone else was up. She was really starting to miss the fact that someone used to always be around.
David finally decided to shift himself and he rolled out of bed. When he reached the door, he realisied he should change; thus, he went back inside and did so.
OK, he thought, am i ready to go this time?
After double checking, David walked out into the tavern main, his wings hanging limply at his sides. His feet dragged along the ground just as his walking stick did, making a slight scraping sound as he walked.
Tali saw David comeinto view and smiled though seeing how he looked, that smile quickly vanished. Her head tilted slightly to the side as she looked at him concerened then she walked over to him and tugged on his pant leg to get his attention.
"Oh," David said softly, his voice calm and reserved. "Hi, Tali..."
David patted her head gently before seating himself in one of the wooden chairs. It was uncomfortable.
Good.
Tali followed after David and stood beside him. She just stared, looking concerened. What was wrong with her friend?! She mewed silently at him.
Seeing Tali's questioning gaze, David closed his eyes, sighed, and began to speak.
"Chris," he said, in a low tone that oozed hatred.
"Christopher... He killed everyone - he slaughtered thousands of angels...
"Theres only about three thousand left..." David trailed off, looking away. Then, he knew, he would have to explain himself - the previous explanation was far too brief. To stop the soundless words that he knew Tali would speak, he continued on.
"Yesterday... There was a fight..." David explained. ((read pages 6822-6829, mainly the posts by Midnights_Demonic_Angel, cutie_18, Ki, and myself, beginning with Chris' first post on 6822 for more info; right now, knowing that Angels are now a nearly extinct race will suffice!))
((A lot to read...))

Tali sighed. More fights. She patted David on the shoulder to try to make him feel better.
"You dont understand..." David began, "Almost all of the angels are Dead. There arent many left. I just sat there and let Chris kill them. I let him kill my family!" David's voice was now raised slightly, though still controlled. All the while he gripped his new pendant.
Tali gave a small smile, she had been in a some what similar situation before, only one died in it. She nodded to him, she did understand, but what was there to do? Tali left to head over to the bar for a minute, disapearing from view. She came back holding a coke and a sprite and handed the sprite to David, smiling. She would get him to cheer up!
"Heh," David smiled at the little neko's efforts to cheer him up; her charm was flawless, and he almost found his spirits lifting. Almost.
But the monster that threatened to claw its way out of his stomach growled again, warning him not to get too happy. The little demon of sorrow wouldnt let him smile again.
He took the Sprite, then patted Tali's head again. "Thank you little one; you make me smile..."
David opened the soda and took a small sip.
(( Bwa ha ha my arms are still stumps! ))

Griff rolled restlessly on the couch, his ears flat against his head as he mewed softly, pawwing at the air. Even in sleep, Lali didnt leave him be. His hair was damp with sweat, tail flicking this way and that. He wasnt aware that anyone was around, lost in his dream world.
