A black vehicle abruptly screeched to a halt just in front of the café. The windows were tinted, but the silhouette of a man in a suit with greased-back hair was still visible. Oddly his mouth was moving, but there was visibly no one in the back or passenger seats that he could have been talking to. After a moment, the car was backed into a parking space straight ahead from the café doors, and with the car parked and still running, the man stepped out and made his way to the other side. He seemed disgruntled, but collected, toothpick rolling to the opposite corner of his mouth as he reached for the door handle. Just as he opened the door, a tiny fluffy critter with childlike glee in her eyes came into view. She turned herself away from the door and in a playfully clumsy struggle as best as her little arms and legs could afford, she climbed out from the car and fixed her clothes.
There was an almost laughably stark contrast between the driver and the passenger. The man had a visible tattoo on his hand that ran up beneath the sleeve of his suit some ways, an expensive gold watch, a diamond ear piercing. There was a scar over his left eye, and his face showed signs of aging. He was refined and dressed well, but likely wasn't the first person in a crowd you'd think to approach. The feline on the other hand stood at a mighty two feet tall, and looked up at him with round, honest brown eyes lined thickly with long eyelashes. She beamed radiantly in her apparel reminiscent of an orange animal that any child might think portrayed strength and dominance. As he admonished she "make it quick", he pulled a leather wallet from an inner pocket of his coat and handed her as much platinum as her little paws could hold. Quickly, she stowed it away in her tiger purse, then after motioning with grabby paws and a jump to kiss him on the cheek, she skipped toward the café doors. The man stood straight and watched her knowingly for a moment as she stared at the door handle. One jump.. two jump... three jumps..
Dang it!
He made his way over and opened the door for her with a nod, and she smiled back at him. Her voice was tiny, breathy. "
Thank youuu..!", she chimed.
She skipped up to the counter towards the first thing she laid eyes on; Treats!! Lots of them!! Although it looked like some had already been eaten, Velvet was relieved to be so close to her prize.
Golly, these must be some delicious pastries if there's already some missing so soon..!
"
Excuse meee...!", she called. It was a little difficult to see past the height of the counter at only two feet tall. She could see legs behind the glass and tasty morsels. Her tail swayed as she patiently waited for a response, pink paw pads pressed eagerly against the display.
