Welcome to Gaia! ::

[[Sorry honey, I can't RP anymore tonight. Mitch and Jake are spending the night and are stoned out of their faces and Devin is drunk and on his way over. Wish me luck!]]

The three girls all seemed to shiver at the same time and sighed. Lia downed her two shots of whiskey no problem and Thaia and Blaire finished off their drinks in three sips. Laying some money on the table they sighed and nodded their thanks to the bartenders. Slipping out into the night air, Blaire's body burst into a good hundred butterflies and Lia and Thaia disappeared back into the forest. They would return though...
:: I'm running off of sugar so you're fine. ::

Alakyl glanced at Blaire and gave her a warm smile. "You're welcome." He stated lightly before pulling back, observing the table for a moment before taking a step back and turning. His body was aching and sore from the day, so the only thing that was on his mind was the feeling of a pillow under his head. Sadly, he knew he wasn't able to do that just yet until all the the customers were gone in their rooms. So, to pass the time, Kyl simply took a seat at the bar, leaning back against the counter as he watched his surroundings.

"Water? Alright." Solan couldn't help but let out an amused chuckle as she watched the man attack the steak she gave him. It reminded her of the certain dark elf that lived with her, especially if he hadn't eaten that day. "The name's Solan." She replied with the most calm tone she could muster without letting out another chuckle. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Lukas." Before the man could reply she headed back for the kitchen, intent on getting Lukas his drink. It didn't take long, after all it was a glass of water. She had reappeared with a glass, not large but a good size so tat it could get rid of thirst. It was filled most of the way, leaving just an inch so it wouldn't spill as she took it over to the table. "Here you go." The glass made no sound as she placed it on the table.

:: Fine, leave me. ;3; Kidding, be careful. You never know what can happen. ::

Frowning a bit, he nodded and would reply to her when she returned. And when she did, he accepted the glass of water, taking a sip to remove the drying blood and meat stuck between his teeth. Not only did it work, but it quenched his thirst. Lukas turned his head and wiped his mouth off on his shoulder, glancing at the food longing to finish it, but knowing he could wait and not die. "Solan? That's an odd name," he commented, "but then again, you're an elf." He glanced at the ears whenever he said the race out of habit. It was still mind boggling that there was anything but humans on the planet, but Lukas had learned to live with it after spending a few years in this new world. Glancing over at the dark elf again, he raised an eyebrow and turned his head to Solan. "Who's that?" He inquired, gesturing to the sleepy looking man at the bar. He was interested and curious about this new building as well, but those questions could always be reserved for later. After all, conversations could only be dragged on for so long before there was nothing to talk about, right? The women had left, with no words except for a thank you from a black haired woman, and he found he was the only customer there. Alone with two strange elves, oh what joys he could go through.

Solan pulled out a chair from the table, letting herself take a seat in the chair without a question asked. Hey, it was her tavern. "It's not common among the elves, but I like it." Her attention turned to Alakyl when Lukas asked about him, making a smile pull at her lips. "Oh him? His name is Alakyl. Nothing more than a lazy alcoholic when he gets back here from his mercenary missions." She knew that in just a matter of moments Alakyl would get too tired to stay and keep her company, so it would only leave her and Lukas. Nothing like spending time chatting with a man who eats meat like a wolf. Not that Solan would say that out loud, her kindness wouldn't allow it. Her eyes finally trailed back to Lukas as her elbows were placed on the table top. Her conscience could use the company, after spending most of the day today alone in this establishment.

"I see...and what is this place called? There was a sign outside, but I couldn't read it," he grunted, eyeing the dark elf for only a minute longer before resting on the blonde infront of him. She'd taken a seat on her own accord, and he supposed that was alright. "I'm not from around here...at all. I don't even know what country this is, I've travelled so much." Wiping his hand on his pants, he rested it under his chin, resting his eyes for a minute. It had been a long journey, but he was grateful he'd come across this place. He'd gotten to eat a bit, drink some water that didn't come straight from a river, and now he had a bit of small talk going on. Lukas was glad he didn't have to continue walking to a town, and kill a human for a meal..Solan was literally a knight in shining armor to him right now. Smiling a bit at that thought, he laughed outloud, and shook his head, eyes opening again. "I'm originally from Germany, but I left home when I was 13," he explained, a hint of sadness in his voice as he spoke. There were some bad memories in his childhood, ones that scarred him for life.

Alakyl did what Solan guessed he would do. Pushing himself away from the bar counter, he stood from the stool he was seated on. With a minor wave to show he was heading to bed, the Dark Elf took his time to head for the open stair way that was placed in the upper right corner of the tavern area. He glanced back before heading up the steps, seeing the girl enter the tavern. With a soft groan, he made his way over to the booth she was located in, really just hoping to sleep but knowing he couldn't yet. "May I get you anything, miss?"

Solan nearly forgot the name herself, but was able to remember quickly. "April Rain. An old friend thought of it." An almost pained look came across Solan's face as Lukas mentioned traveling. Oh how she longed to do that. Sadly, she was unable to thanks to her duties as Forest Guardian. "Right now, you're in the country of Faerun. It's not very known to most other countries, so we learned everything on our own; electricity for example." When Lukas mentioned where he was born, another small pain went through Solan's body, making her throat swell a little. "You're pretty lucky, being able to travel around. I am unable to leave this forest, under Grandfather Silvanus's order."

April Rain. Hmm. Looking towards the door as a girl walked in, he raised an eyebrow curiously at her almost zombie like manner, keeping his gaze on her until she was seated. "Ah," he said, slightly surprised, "really? That's pretty...prehistoric," was the only work he could think of to describe it. To think of a country that didn't follow the same patterns of technology that the rest of the world did was just strange. Looking around the bar, he frowned, turning his gaze to her when she mentioned him being lucky. "No, I'm not as lucky as you'd think. I wish to settle down and stay in one place, but I have to keep moving. I have many enemies, and people looking for me," he sighed, tugging at some hair that fell in his face boredly. "I'm considered a wanted murderer," he explained, to make things clear. That was why he was interested in that Alakyl elf, because he seemed just as beaten up as he was. "Your Grandfather shouldn't be able to order you around though. I think you should just leave and travel while you're alive. If I were in your shoes, I would have flipped him off and gotten the hell out of here. No one tells me what to do," he grumbled, stifling a quiet yawn. His cigar went unnoticed in his hand, burning for a while and collecting ashes that fell onto his leg, burning a small hole in it from the heat. Looking down at it in disinterest, he crushed the butt of his cigar into the table and left it there.

"We'd rather stay away from other countries. What do you think scientists would do if they knew elves even existed? I'd hate to see my people being taken away for study and... experiments." Solan cringed slightly at the thought, hoping to get it out of her mind. A murderer huh, she lived in a house of them so he'd fit right in here. Her smile faltered as he explained how unlucky he was and about "her" grandfather. "Grandfather Silvanus is not my grandfather. He is the Grandfather to all elves that worship the gods. For you see, I am a lower goddess sent to this world to look after this forest. I would leave this forest if I could, but... I would not want to disobey Grandfather Silvanus's orders. Until he finds a separate lower god or goddess, I am stuck here for eternity. Kind of sucks if you ask me."
A single building.
A red brick building.
In the middle of a forest.

Perfect.

A woman appeared standing under a tree, she was leaning against it as she pondered this latest development. She'd been traveling far and wide, yet it was without her own knowledge that she ended up here. Not that here rang any bells.
If one was to see this figure under the tree, they'd see that this woman wasn't quite, normal.
Standing at about five feet eleven inches tall, with perfectly balanced curves, she wasn't about to go unnoticed in a crowd. She had long raven black hair tied high on her head in a tight braid, though high it, reached down to the middle of her back. Her attire consisted of a black, silk collared shirt tucked into leather pants and thigh high leather boots with three inch heels.
To complete her outfit she wore black gloves, a short cape of black silk with silver embroidery, a pinstriped fedora, pulled low over her face, so her eyes were hidden, a black face mask and a leather belt riding low on her hips. From this belt hung reminders of the past and the present; a pair of highly polished pistols hung next to an antique dagger that looked well used. Her other weapons and poisons had been shrunk using spells so the could fit into the leather pouch at her hip.

Her latest dilema had been whether or not to enter this establishment. It seemed safe enough, but then again.....
Hell, she'd go along for now, but she'd keep her guard up, nonetheless. She strode forward toward the building. Where she trod the ground itself seemed to shrink away from her. As she passed the headstones she murmured, "Sleep in the shadows of your choosing, old ones." With these words, the earth relaxed, ever so slightly. When she stepped up to the door she noted the sign in Elvish, reading to be welcome. It would have been a halfway reassuring statement if she believed everything she read, which she didn't.
She let the door open for her as she stepped inside a warm, quiet room, with a few people, chairs, and other assorted furniture.

"Ah..I see. This is why I'm grateful for being human. All I have to worry about is not being socially accepted. No one will be shoving tubes down my throat trying to figure out what I am, when it's obvious I'm a cannibal," he sighed, drumming his fingers against his cheek and lifting the water to his lips. His steak sat there, waiting, and he tried to ignore the tempting smell of it. "Oh, I see. An eternity seems like an awfully long time. Another reason I'm glad I'm human; I can die easily." Nodding a bit, he felt kind of dejected, not all there. Perhaps it was the sleep that was calling him like a siren to a sailor. "I feel sorry for you," he frowned, biting back another yawn that tried to escape. "Uhm..I'm kind of tired," he said apologetically, his eyelids heavy. "There are rooms here I can sleep in right? We can talk tomorrow," he offered, pressing his palm into his temple with enough pressure to keep his mind on task. "I don't think I'm much of a conversationist right now, unfortunately."

[[ OOC;; Eheh. Very tired. I can't keep my eyes open...might be the alcohol. ]]

:: I can keep my eyes open perfectly fine. Though I'll be losing sleep since I'm forcing an all nighter. ::

"Blood? We might..." Alakyl didn't really feel like walking around anymore tonight, so he simply let himself vanish from that girl's sight in his own way of teleportation. He returned a few minutes later with a glass that contained a red liquid. "There you are."

"You're lucky to be human. Us elves only die from deep sorrow or being killed." Solan tilted her head slightly to the side, letting it give a small crack before she tilted it the other way for it to do that same. "Rooms? Yes, I have plenty that are still unoccupied."

:: And their goes my creativity for tonight. Sugar wore off I guess... My eyes are playing tricks on me. ::

Noticing that the room was occupied, Sorrow strode forward letting the door shut quietly behind her. Her movements were lithe and graceful, much like a dancer or an exotic cat. She ended up next to the bar, on to which she leaned.
"Excuse me," Sorrow said softly, her voice like soft music, "might I enquire about a room?"
She hoped to get a room, at least for appearences sake and she was so weary, but sleep would never come, not for her at least. Just a drawback of the curse.
