A laugh traveled from the the roof of the heartless manor as a thin teen sat perched on the roof's peak. He wore a blue hoodie that was covered with a thin layer of frost, his brown pants tattered above his bare feet. his curved staff was leaned against his shoulder as a clod wind blew past him, rustling his snowy white hair.
"Not much of a big bad dragon, is he?"
It had been some time since the mischievous teen had visited the manor, a grin on his pale face as he hoped he wasn't forgotten too easily.

And now this sudden new voice had everyone look up, dragon included. Kai looked passive, Yuni was beaming, Kira was curious, and Kujoune just looked relieved there was something to break the angel's attention. In fact, the scaly beast began slithering on his golden belly towards the tree line with the petite Nekojin still hanging onto the pair of twisting horns atop his head.

"Hey! Where we goin'? I know that kid! Turn 'round!"

Of course, a dragon that size and color wasn't easily concealed by the foliage. Kira could still see his shining hide from where she was lofting in the air, laughing in amusement now at this new addition. A flap of her wings had her turn to better face the blue hooded teen, a wide grin on her wonderful face. Kira scratched at her periwinkle hair, the braid becoming a little loose.

"Oh, no. Kujoune is working up to being the big bad dragon. He just knows he broke my rules! KUJOUNE!" Kira turned her eyes towards the forest, hearing an explosion of sorts. A large tree must have offended his size... Some part of the forest some meters in was ablaze, and the top of a scaly head could be seen at her height. "Oh dear..."

Kai just sighed, shook her head, and started to make her way back inside. Kira could deal with it...

The teen stood up and stepped down the roof, frost trailing behind him as he looked up at the flying woman.
" Yeah? Well, I think he still has a ways to go."
A white brow was raised as the teen watched one of the trees go up in flames.
"I got this one."
He dropped off the roof's edge, the wind catching him as he would glide towards the burning tree. He swung his staff forward, bright sparks showering over the flames before changing to thick snow to extinguish the fire. The teen landed on the dragon's nose, spinning his staff around in his hand.
"Better listen to her, pal. Hiding will only make it worse."
He looked down at the dragon's eye before nodding towards the flying woman.

Kira's laughter only grew at the teen's reply, nodding in agreement. Her wings took her after the crook wielding boy, giving her a good view of his wintry powers extinguishing the fire. Interesting! The constructor hovered over the scene, watching at Kujoune snapped his teeth at the approaching boy. He would have tried to bite him if it weren't for Kira's glare, deciding to just bare his teeth and let loose a deep rumble in warning. Yuni was still hanging on to the horns, feline ears swiveling as she blinked owlishly at Jack. Yeah, she knew him. And if there's a time paradox, she'd really know him.

"Ohai! Looks like we lost the hide-n-seek game, Kujoune-kun. C'mon, let's go back~" Yuni coaxed, patting at the thick skull.

Kujoune looked displeased, feeling rather bullied between the three. And he didn't like the ice that was used against his fire. Amber eyes glared at the white haired teen, nostrils flaring with a puff of smoke leaving them. Fine. But get off mah nooooosssse.

Kira drew a large symbol in the air in front of her then pointed down to the red beast, a large circle beginning to glow under him. The dragon fidgeted as its body sunk into the portal, trying not to snap his wings out to get away. Yuni squeakered, yelling an "Abandon Ship!" before diving into the canopy of a tree. Soon, Kujoune fell through the rest of the way whether Jack jumped ship as well or not. The circle would lose its glow, then disappear completely.

Jack laughed at the dragon's attempted snap, stepping along the bridge of it's nose as it growled.
"Hey Yuni."
Jack smiled to the familiar neko, looking back as the portal was formed under the dragon.
"See ya later, big guy."
Jack saluted the dragon before jumping from his nose, landing lightly on a nearby tree branch.

EDIT
(( Getting super sleepy so I'm heading off to bed. I can respond tomorrow if you want but if you want to make an exit you can just have Jack fly off if you leave. Nighty night! ))

Kira huffed a sigh of relief, fists on her hips and giving a nod of triumph to the charred scene. Oh, right, the trees... At seeing that Yuni and the boy already knew each other, the dragon wrangler gently lofted down into the dragon-made clearing. Upon landing, she plucked a decently sized down feather from her right wing and let it float into the blackened grass. The energy making up the feather was absorbed into the ground, spreading into the damaged trees nearby to heal the more deeply burned bark and branches. It was winter, yet there was enough energy for a few trees to have green buds for leaves start to form.

"There, all better." Kira grinned, looking over to watch Yuni literally roll down the trunk of her tree.

"That was awesoooommmme~ Nuh as clashy as when Thurane managed to follow me out, but still pretty cool."

Kira gave a stern look to the teen, always the mother figure. "And you, young miss..."

Yuni squeakered, started to cower back up her tree.

"Stop. Letting. The dragons. Out."

"Y-yes'm..."

(( All right, sorry for the long delay :'3 Got caught up in some stuff... I can wait till tomorrow. Nighty night~ ))

Frayda nodded when Mohan mentioned Ralic. "The book doesn't say anything about the origin of werewolves but he would be a good person to ask. That may not be directly related to our mission but it could shed some light on motives and what we don't know." She thought of her and Ralic's last encounter, but she didn't want Mohan speaking to him alone. "I'll ask him or look in the library. You stay focused on Saria."

She watched as Mohan browsed through the symbols, wheels turning in her mind.

"This is my theory. Because Jayke was literally one of the first vampires, created by Esther who was a super-powerful witch, she likely created him with limited weakness because she was trying to protect her children from the wolves. However, it doesn't seem plausible that Esther didn't foresee something possibly going wrong and give him some sort of weakness. It may be that everyone they turned was not as powerful and were more susceptible to stakes because they weren't directly created through her magic."

It was obvious that Fray was deeply involved in this story. Although she wasn't acting obsessive, she was enthralled by the tale because somewhere in there, there must be an explanation for Bentley's endless pursuit of her. She scanned over her work before looking back to Mohan as he mentioned the heartless. "Bentley's family founded the Manor and the vampires were created here. Much of the heartless has always been shrouded in mystery, but they must have had some link to Esther and the darkness she brought upon the land. The book doesn't specifically describe the ritual she performed but to create something that dark and powerful, it must have cost many souls." Maybe the heartless were directly linked to the event.

She sighed audibly; there were still so many questions to answer. Her thoughts shifted at the sound of Saria's name. "Do you have a time table yet of when you'll be ready to reverse the effects?" She asked. She trusted that Mohan knew what he was doing and wouldn't rush things, but unfortunately they were crunched for time. If only James' had given her some clue to what Bentley was planning. She combed a hand through her hair before setting her coffee down on the desk which she had hardly touched. Behind her eyes, there was a sea of guilt that she was forcing herself to keep in. The Manor's current dilemmas proved to be a viable distraction right now but for how long until the guilt rose back to the surface and pushed her to turn it off for good....? Not long.

Jack laughed as Yuni was scolded, the hooded teen dropping off the branch as he fell towards the ground. The wind kicked up within the last few feet of his fall, lifting him enough to land gently on his feet. The snowy haired boy looked around at the newly healed trees as frost scattered along the grass under his feet with each step.
"Glad to see you're still getting into the same amount of trouble, Yuni."
He raised a brow as he watched the neko try to retreat back up the tree, his crook rested over his shoulders with his arms looped over each end.

Kira knew how to put the fear of any god in people... One of them mother tricks she's picked up in her very long life... But seeing as Yuni was attempting to literally crawl backwards up the tree trunk, the angel softened her glare and smiled as she loosely tucked her wings in. That seemed good enough. The petite teen slid back down from her awkward climbing, rolling forward up onto her feet to bounce on the balls of her feet. Yuni looked at Jack and grinned brightly, tail wagging.

"Oi, Jacky-Jack! Glad t'see ya still as chill as e'er~" She said, watching how frost spread from his feet and how little flowers started to grow out from under Kira's mountain boots. Huh. Spring and winter in the same clearing. "How ya been, man? Get into any mischief lately yaself?"

"'Jacky-Jack'?" Kira echoed, head tilted to the side some like she was still getting used to Yuni's odd little nicknames.

Jack chuckled and nodded.
"Nice one, haven't heard that before."
he swung his crook back down around his neck to stand upright beside him.
"Same amount as always. Helping bunny hide his eggs with a nice thick layer of snow each start of spring. How about you?"
He grinned as he leaned against his staff, frost forming under his grip.
"The name's actually Jack Frost but Yuni has always been a fan of fun nicknames since I met her."

Yuni scuttled on over to poke at the twisted staff after he set it to stand by him, always amused by the interaction her heat and its frost had. Or maybe just the frosty power it held. Dat lacy frost. "The Easter Bunny? I hear that's a fun human holiday thing, but I've ne'er tried findin' any eggs 'fore. I bet he likes the help~"

Which was probably about as helpful as letting a blind man hammer in nails... But eh. Kira giggled in amusement at the two, venturing closer in the more polite conversation space. She held a hand out to the teen, figuring he would have a wintry touch like her counterpart.

"It is very nice to meet you, Mr. Jack Frost. Your snow brings joy to my ice and winter loving dragons. My name is Kira Yoji."

"Kira-raaaaaaa~" Yuni squealed quietly, giggling in the obvious display of her nicknaming fun.

"Oh yeah, he loves it."
Jack spoke with sarcasm so thick you could get a bus stuck in it. He watched as Yuni poked at the staff, the frost along it's length shimmering as it would push away from her warm touch then quickly return to cover the thawed spot. Jack looked up to the hand offered to him as he reached out to shake it. His hands were of course ice cold but that was expected.
"Nice to meet you Kira."

Yuni giggled, imagining how frustrated the Easter Bunny must get when Jack lays the snow on his parade. Of course, Jack was the only seasonal manifestation the young Nekojin's met. So obviously the frosty winter sprite was her favorite. She gave the crook a few more pokes before standing upright, cracking her back.

Kai's touch was a bit of the opposite, warm and with a smooth discharge of positive energy going into the receiving end. Shouldn't hurt Jack and his cold, it'd be more like taking a small shot of caffeine. "What brings you this area, Jack?"

Yuni pouted some, squishing the tip of her combat boot into the rain dampened soil. "Probably 'cause the storm melted all the snow..."

Jack brought his hand back, ignoring the faint shiver that went down his spine from the energy.
'It didn't seem cold enough out here to me."
he glanced over to Yuni and grinned.
"And I wanted to come visit to see how things were going. Make sure this one didn't burn it to the ground."
He nodded to Yuni with a teasing tone.

"Is that the sound of a possible snowball fight I hear, then?" Kira laughed a bit and smiled, taking her hand back to clasp it politely in front of her with its twin. This got Yuni excited, her tail practically flailing behind her sporadically. Then Jack mentioned Yuni burning the manor to the ground.

"I feel like they got fire extinguishers hoverin' o'er me all the time as it is..." Yuni huffed, hands on her little hips. But she figured she should give Jack a bit of the happenings so he wasn't caught off guard. "Well, there's lots o' drama goin' on, 'nd vampires 'nd stuff. I think e'eryone could use a fun free-for-all snowball war..."
