I need help! My battle ratio is dropping stressed I'm down to <66.6% victory rate (less than 2:1 rate) Can anybody give me any advice as to what to do to fix this? Please? If it helps any, I'm using a Toyota MR2 (SW20) with Tune B (I believe), the Tom's rear spolier (snorkle) and the Caine-type muffler. I don't remember right off hand which wheels I've got, if it makes any difference. If anyone can think of a better setup for the MR-2 than what I've currently got, I'm more than willing to test it out, unless all I need is just more practice on the courses or something. I'm wanting to maintain at least a half-way decent rating sweatdrop

Funny...you've got 36 battle stars...but there are no such things as battle stars. You mean racer levels? Or battle levels?

Jayden, don't worry about your parts setup until you're shooting for that extra .001 for your TAs. Version 3's parts really don't make much of a difference unless you're talking about the Evo III or the Trueno (Evo III gets the misfire system which DRASTICALLY improves acceleration and the Trueno gets the AE101's racing engine, which gives it its insane top end).

Just stick with learning the courses a lot better. Plus, get your starting shfiting down. The MR2 is the fastest five-gear car off of the line if shifting is done properly. Henceforth, get in front and block. Plus, the MR2 can corner quite well...a bit faster than most cars because of its driftiness. Use that to your advantage. Just stay off of the walls and work on that, though.

And again, with insults. Bring 'em on. I'm not going to bother insulting you. Insulting the opposition makes the opponent look better than you do, FYI.

You said the DC2 was cheap. I gave points stating that it wasn't necessarily as cheap as you made it out to be. Yes, we all know, an FF shouldn't be dominating a racing game. But the way it was put made it sound like it was unbeatable, which it clearly ISN'T.

Battle stars AREN'T the stars you get on your card for battle level ups. Those are Racer Level stars. You get 30, IIRC. There are the stars for clearing Usui-Tsuchisaka (Myogi doesn't net you a star this time around), the stars for clearing parts of Bunta Challenge, and the stars that come with battle levels. Other than my last posted fact, there is NO OTHER WAY that the stars on your cards are affiliated with battle level.

I'd advise you look at the last line of my signature before you go any further. I believe I know enough about Initial D in order to tell everyone a thing or two about it. I'd appreciate some respect for what I've been helping people with. If you made an asinine assumption, I'm going to correct it, no questions asked, because I have information from over a year and a half of playing.

If you don't care to listen, then that makes you even more of a jackass than you make me out to be, because you're ignoring a rebuttal in the belief that you're right no matter what.

EDIT: Something to add. You had said that I said that you said the 8V was cheap as well. I never said that you said that. IIRC, I said that by the logic you're using, the 8V would be cheap as well. Just another note that I thought I'd point out.

k...I started with a R34 on Ver1 then got a FD3S.....
On Ver2 I got a FD3S type R
ON version 3, I have the two cards I use the most....
I used a FC3S, but now the car I always use is the Evo5......


this is the HoF at our machine....updated about a month or so ago, I can beat Flota about half the time, and the other two occasionally....
but yea it's fun.....
I'm at Bunta level4 on Irohazaka, but that's about it so far, I only tried Bunta one one day....

yea...we don't really play arcade mode as much, unless we just want to fool around or play a race we like, but yea.....we battle mostly.....

edit: it's kind of a inside thing between us around here....just cause we're the ones always playing it, my card hasn't gone invalid yet, so I'm not up there

Mm, good stuff. You guys are probably my inspiration to start up with my RX-8 again after my Evo IV...or even, concurrently with my Evo IV. biggrin

That hall of fame thing's pretty cool. Reminds me of my Initial D door...

(On the back of my door, hanging in card sleeves, are every single Initial D card I've ever owned. I keep them there so that I don't have to carry like...20 cards in my wallet. Whatever cards I wanna use for that night just get taken out and put in my wallet...and returned when I come back.)

I'll probably be playing this weekend...the goal is mainly to improve...get more familiar with the Evo IV and maybe the RX-8 (If I feel like sparing some tokens into my RX-8, that is). And of course, we must keep the Evo IV's battle streak at 100% (4 wins so far, since there aren't that many people to battle and those that do battle me...have been getting pwned).

EDIT: M3D1C, don't just jot your times down...get 'em posted. It'll make for quicker reference when it comes down to it (i.e. jot down the password for the Version 3 IR). It'd be greatly appreciated. Thanks, man!

*distracted by the hot anime chicks*... eek ... *drool* ... um yea what was I saying...oh yea...all those stars and junk realy dont mean much...my 86 doesnt have hardly anything on it cause I decided to make it a sleeper card ... when the battle lvl and points pop up thats when I get the shock effect twisted

Still working on my FC, SXE-10, and my new Cappo thank god for free creds

Kyros: I LOVE my evo5...it's yellow, all the works been done to it, carbon fiber hood and trunk....etc.....gold 6 prong rims......it's beautiful....yea, well, back when I was getting used to the AWD again, after using my FC, I lost quite a few battles, so my win level is pretty low, like 68%....

I saw one guy race Usui and never dropped out of 5th in his FD, only let up on the gas like twice....it was scary man.....
