Yep. I sure do play Version 3. Haven't been pushing myself too hard with it, but yeah, I've been playing it. I see you've been using the Hachi-Roku. Your DH time could be pushed down a bit, IMO...but that's just me. Ah well.

I'll probably be playing tomorrow (Saturday) and finally getting some runs in with the Evo V. That's the car I have to FT first. Then the RX-8. And then either the MR-2 or the Evo IV, or transfer one of my older cards (probably either my FD or FC).

My internet rankings

...We definitely gotta work on that Iro time.
A lot of the times that I've got posted are from when I was still running AT. I just haven't really gone back through with the MT to try to re-break my own records. I'll have to do that, I guess. Probably wouldn't hurt any with me trying to maintain the title of "Best player in Bloomington-Normal" >.>
Well folks, today is the day. It was bound to happen, but its sad nonetheless. I'm not going to drive the FC anymore (I say that, get back with me in a week lol). I'll be driving my Spirit more often now. The FC is too wild, and I like the FD's extra grip. That and now I can run the first four tracks pretty easy now.

I hate to do it, but I think I have reached my potential with such a wild car. I mean who knows, I may go back, but I know for a little while, my FD will be getting some serious attention.

BTW, there seems to be a security problem with this. If you click return, you'll be able to see their user ID, and they don't ask for a password either. Just want ya'll to know.
hmm i should post my crapilicious times up here lol, i just need to remember my p/ws crying
OMG, what was I thinking! I tried to drive my FD today, and it feels SLOW!!!

I don't understand it! I mean, I drive faster with the FC than I do the FD!

Heh, heh, heh, I got a new car though. White R32 GT-R!
My Times

So, here we go with my most recent times with the Evo V. Keep in mind, the only times I've really been pushing are Akagi and Irohazaka.
Jeez... all your times smoke mine... sweatdrop Any advice for an MR2 user?
[edit: Sad thing about this is that I'm the record holder at the local arcade. Broke 5 records there today, one by ~10 seconds]
I haven't quite gotten to my MR2 yet. I do have one, an A-tune, with only like...10K on it.

So far, your best bet is to try and stay off of the walls as best as possible, first off. Figure out what turns on which course have to be taken in what gears. For example, through Akagi DH, the first turn (the big left) should be taken in 4th...in fact, don't even upshift to 5th. Just stay in 4th and use the brake in order to keep stability in your car.

I'll try and get some exit speeds with the MR2 as soon as I start using it. Now, that may be soon...that may be in the future. My Evo V and RX-8 come first.

Speaking of Initial D, I finally got to play tonight. And man, I'm horribly rusty. Managed to squeak by a 2'28 through Akagi DH...my record is 2'27. I can't seem to touch any of my old records. I guess this is what happens when you don't play for so long in a learning period such as mine.

I did way better in battle, though. Let's see...the first guy I raced was a Trueno. We went to the Snow, Boost off. Unfortunately, I got screwed over a bit in the beginning when the Trueno-user tapped my car and moved me into the wall a bit. But, I still came back and won...with a horrible time of 3'41 because of the tap. Ah well.

The next battle was that same Trueno again. This time, it was through Akagi DH Dry, Boost off. No questions asked, I completely dominated the guy all the way through.

So his friend comes in with an Evo IV and takes me to Tsuchisaka OB Dry, Boost off. I completely dominate this guy as well. So what does he do? He takes me to the Evo IV's best course: Irohazaka DH Dry, Boost off. Of course...this course happens to be my favorite...the course I reigned on in Version 2 and the course I will be reigning on in Version 3. Simply put, I pwned all the racers.

After that, I finally cleared LotS with my Evo V, did some time trials...then finished my runs for the night.
Sounds like it's time for me to paper-cup it.

Do NOT switch to paper cup until you know the course by heart. As in, you can do the course without looking at the map, period. In fact, don't bother with the paper cup. It's really just a novelty. Stick with your map instead. It'll help you out more in the long run.
