We finally got Ver. 3 around here...and i'm STILL the only Levin driver in the area, but finally made it as top local player in our arcade ^_^

So I'm doing a 3'32 through Akina Snow DH with my Evo V. Not the greatest time, but then again, I was never that great at Akina.

We have some guy who got 3'32 on Akina Snow as well...having a hard time breaking that cause i'm not too good on there >_>; is it you Kyros? breaking my #1 score? xD Give me another month of play time and i'll be ready to compete with you! 3nodding

....we have the Ver. 3 system on a Ver. 2 machine..kinda cheap eh? especially since people keep breaking one of the wheels <_<;

Lol...it's not me, man. The top record for Snow DH over in my arcade is 3'26, held by a Celica GT-Four, IIRC.

Good! I wanna see some more competing times! Stand strong!

Eh, My arcade needs to hurry up and get Ver.3. I'm sick and tired of those DC2 n00bs. Yes, I drive a DC2, But I drive it fairly decently to where I get 2'38's on Irohazaka. (Sucks, I know) But I played Ver.3 at an arcade on the other side of town, Transfered my 1/4 tuned EVO4, Which is now half tuned. It's okay it's still a little hard to adjust to since it has different physics. I played the Japanese version while I was in Osaka, and it seems the game isn't much different, Like Version2 English was with Version2 Jap.

2'38? Hm...are you cutting apexes, brother? Might be able to bring you down to at least 2'37. I ran 2'36 myself.

And yes, I'm from Initial-D.com. My username is Rock. I'm one of the co-leaders of the United States division of Project Nitian.

hmm Kyros knows about my drop in times gonk sweatdrop but i'll get back up there once i find time to squeeze it in with college crying
I don't care what anyone says. DC2 is a noob car to anybody who uses it. Doesn't take much skill to master that car.

I personally drive a FD, I just started ver. 3 a couple of weeks ago. I beat ver. 1 with an FD, Trueno, and FC. (S2000 is the worse peice of crap ever.) I'm currently 10 and 0 in ver. 3. =D

I'm UNSTOPPABLE IN THE RAIN. I don't really go and memorize my times. But I'm currently number one on Akina snow with a Mazda. I'm also 1 on Irohazaka inbound and Akina downhill. And yeah.

Lol. That's funny. And you know what most of the skilled players say? DC2 isn't a newbie car. It's the newbie that makes it a newbie car.

You make it sound like anyone who used a DC2 in Version 2 was a complete newbie. I'd like to see you say that directly to MSK or YUET@ or anyone else like that. Hell, if you were to go to http://www.initial-d.comp, most of the veterans there would just laugh you out of the place for spamming.

Don't memorize your times. POST THEM ON THE IR. Then I'll show you some respect. Hell, I was 10 and 0 in Version 3 as well. Then my record got messed up. Everyone's going to lose at one point. Just because you're undefeated means bullshit. You could have raced all newbies, for all we know. Don't even go in here and just start talking trash. Give us times, and then maybe you'll be shown some respect.

Oh, and Irohazaka doesn't have an Inbound. It has a Downhill and a Reverse (not Uphill, Reverse, because Irohazaka Uphill is a completely different road than Irohazaka Reverse).

Some Initial D punk you are. Doesn't even call Iro by its right name. Hah.
I played Initial D Ver.2 for the first time today and was very disappointed with the way the cars handle. Can you actually drift once you upgrade ur car? Or do the cars just go around like they are on rails.
The cars look awsome though, go the AE86 Levin.

First off, the cars don't really drift. It's a mass-powerslide that you're doing. Either that or grip driving.

Play Version 3. You might like the slower speeds and different physics a bit better.
...anyone wanna give me hints on how to drive akina... i still suck at it... i use to suck at happo too but i gotten better enough to beat the last guy on ver. 3 (which means i still suck)... onli course i times myself on was akagi, which i have to look it up still since i forgot... its still there as number 4 and its on the machine where more of the bad drivers play

Hm...I used to have your same problem back in Version 2: I could drive every other course but not Akina. The thing is, Akina combines elements of all the other courses: high-speed corners, consecutive hairpins, etc.

There's a rhythm to racing on Akina. I can't really tell you what to do...you kinda have to discover that rhythm for yourself. Guides will help and all, but on Akina, experience with the course is most key. Practice will make perfect.

Good luck, man! I know you'll be able to make it through Akina!
wassup ppl, i finally got some quality practice time in, i bumped my Iro time by 1 and half seconds, and also decreased my Akina, and Akagi times by a lil bit too! im finally getting back into the swing of things, no battles to report crying wish i did, i was feeling pretty confident today, but eh all well, i still havent beaten Shomaru yet, im still stuck on Aki crying with both of my cars, but eh i shall get him one day stressed lol ok im out laterz yall
Ahh, Initial D. Thou hath robbed me of no less than $100.

Anyways. Less Shakepeare, more drift.

I have 1 card for V.3 and it it's an GT-R34, stock model, but with a Nissan spoiler (for the Nur edition) as well as Nissan custom Nur rims.

My 'home' is the last track, backwards. Since it took me so long to defeat Tak v2 on it, I learned the course off by heart, able to take most of it (except the downhill twists) at 6th gear.

Problem is, most of the players at my arcade are all Korean, Chinese or Japanese, since I live in Singaopore. I have some Japanese friends who are players and are AMAZING. I challenge them every now and again just for laughs but they smoke me each time. I have managed to win against a few cocky foreigners looking to pick on a girl and a few unruly kids using 'boost-on' and auto gears. I have also had a few lucky victories against the normal players, so I guess my level's a little higher than average. I still need to beat Bunta... sweatdrop ...he's so hard!

My speciality is quick turns. My hands kinda blur when I go through twisy courses, but I usually pull a muscle at the same time... sweatdrop ...I do have problems with shifting sometimes, missing the stick, or accidentally shifting up/down 1 instead of 2.

*le sigh*

Anyways...I have 2nd and 3rd place on Akagi Uphill Rainy and 1st on Backwards Dry for...gah, I love the track but can't remember the name...the last one... sweatdrop
