heh don't feel bad, I avoid Happ like the plague lol.

I need some feedback on my last response, does the boost really make that much a differance? I mean the only reason I lost on Tsuchisaka is the fact that he passed me on the VERY last turn (had I known about the finish line being right there I would have swept the turn to the outside to keep him form overtaking me.

It just seems wierd, BTW do you take Usui's C=121 differant than you did in ver.2? I took it to the inside on the last lap VERY close (think MR2) to the corner and he took it on the outside and I gained the majority of my 200+ lead there.
ok in all of my boost battles im 4-1, and yes boost does have a big effect on the race, because on 3 of the 5 races, i was blowing my opponent out of the water, by more than 150+m but with that boost as soon as they hit a straight they were on my butt like crazy, but one thing that i've noticed is that even tho the boost is suppose to help, if they cant keep the car under control they wont win no matter what, unless you hand them the battle, because out of all the battles i raced with it on, their downfall was that they just couldnt handle the car, i wont even speak of the f** that i lost to that intentionally left the boost on stare but yes the boost does make for an interesting race, best strategy that ive seen used is to stay behind until close to the end of the race, then pass them up, because by then it will be too late

Either that or block like a mo-fo! blaugh

lol, Boost can make a difference if the the level of skill is not too far off, but if there is just too big a gap in skill level, no amount of boost can save you. Racing with boost does make for good races though, i remember racing my friend at Tsuchisaka, he loves uphill so i trailed him for the uphill but once we hit the dowhill, i passed him and stayed 700m+ for the rest of the race, this was WITH boost on.
Well, I just thought it was odd, I mean, they were all close races except Usui.

I'll try harder next time, make it 300m!

Sakamoto, you mean?

Well...if it's Sakamoto on Shomaru that troubles you...block like a mofo and stay off of the walls. That's all.
Yeah, I've watched 12 year olds beat him, nothing to it. You'll do fine, its Wataru you have to worry about . . .
Now I feel like a total noob at the game...I'm still having trouble with Keisuke Takahashi on the Akagi downhill...I cant get my approach right or my shift times.

me and my friend have figured out shift times for 5 gear cars (NOTE: so far we have only tested the Evos and the FD but it seems it work fine) from what me and my friend have seen, shifting at 7000 RPMs is perfectly ok, this only works when you are shifting into gears 1-4, when shifting into 5th gear, its best to wait for redline.

just keep your RPM's high and dont run in to the wall after that long stretch of windy turns, break downshift to 3rd gear and take the turn from about as wide as possible, like what Kyros tells me alot, braking is a big factor when it comes to fast times, just try to memorize the course and which turns are coming up next, usually you can pass KT on the first hairpin if you take it correctly, then after the other hairpins, just let off the gas and turn, no braking is needed there, and umm from what i could remember KT will always make a surge right before you hit the consecutive hairpins at the end of the race, so try to hold him off, other than all that, you should be fine 3nodding

Can't approach right? And shift times? You're using the FD, right?

Tell me where your problem is, exactly. I haven't been beaten by Keisuke since Version 2.

And yes, Wataru is the one you must worry about. He automatically gets in front and is able to block like no other.
Thanks alot guys.

The shift times for the FD are as follows
6800
7200
7000
7200

Now check out the speeds...My friend was spotting me so they might be a bit off.

Myogi - 210 eek
Usui - 195 (I hit the damn wall...)
Akina Downhill - 160 roughly
Akina Uphill - 145 (Damn hairpins)

This is where I ran out of quarters, but I'll try to post up some new speeds with my FD. My approach has gotten alot better over the last three arcade visits, I also raced on Happogaraha (Spelling?) and I can understand why some of you guys hate it...so hard right now...
