Welcome to Gaia! ::

ninja bump ninja
For those of you that have been having trouble with Happogahara IB (for LOTS, your 2nd and 3rd races are in this direction), there's a little thing on the guild that I've written up (it's a sticky) that provides some info for Happo IB.

[/shameless plug for the guild]

I beat Nobu, but I couldn't beat Sid. The Evo III's top gear is raped by the Cap's.

i beat Sid, took a lil craftyness to pull it off but i did, but with Nubo, the problem is that i just havent learned the course enough to know what to do and when, so once i run a few TA's i should be good, i just havent made it a point to beat him sweatdrop

Nobu is the dude in the Altezza right? If not, then ignore this post.

Gah, that brings back bad images of his gray Altezza taking up the whole road. And me not being able to pass, that dude blocked me for days.

I was riding the inside the whole race trying to squeeze through, then somehow I popped in front of him. You don't really need to know the course, just put up with his car infront of you the whole race, once you get ahead, you can rape as many walls as you like.
Which gives me yet another idea...I'll give select tips on how to beat just about every LOTS character...in the guild, of course.

haha...LotS is easy...i could do it with an s2k...which i plan to get soon...its not as bad as you would think it is...
Man, up until yesterday I was such a braking whore... I used to hold the accelerator and break at the same time and go around turns like that... That was so stupid. You don't realize how much you slow down when you do something stupid like that in a auto car... I tried it once with my manual car and it messed me up sooooo much. Anyone with an auto car (from experience) THROW IT AWAY AND GET A MANUAL CAR! Run a few TAs and then start LOTS... you are only huring yourself by playing with auto. Only use auto if you are barley starting and learning how to take the courses and drift... when you get the basics of that then buy a manual car and just use that, it is so much easier! (honestly)

Yeah, I know the part of Akina you're talking about. The trick to that is when you are taking it, tap the brake so you can turn real sharp before you go into that sudden turn. You'll be going in really fast if you don't slow down first though. Once you clear the RHOD, Ry fades away.

Thank you. I used like 4 dollars on that race alone crying .

You do know that I'm driving an FD though, right? So will that work?

I figured I could just gun through it really fast and it didn't work.

Got any tips for the last dude on Hap(howeverthehellyouspellit)? His Civic has crazy speed. I almost caught up to him at the end, but somehow he managed to pull away. I also noticed that when racing that stage, there a part of it where my accel with start raising, then I'll gradually start dropping speed, I first noticed it when I went from like 140 in 5th gear, then it dropped crazy fast to 104 and I had to down shift.

You're using the Spirit right? You should be fine.

I'm horrible at Happo, it's my worst stage. So, I haven't even beaten the first guy on it.

Yea, im using the Spirit.

Damn thats too bad about Happo though, that last dudes annoying.

sry for teh double post, but anyways...

Touch is the last person and probably the hardest LotS character on happo...he starts out getting a home course boost, and of course gets the startup; so don't think you can expect the lead at the beginning...he runs a pretty slow time of about 2'35...so it's not that hard to beat him. The only place you might have trouble at is at the dual hairpins that you have to shift to 3rd for; he gets a nos shot somehow and gains a lot of ground on those alone...if he's not in the bungee effect by the time you get to those hairpins, expect to do some blocking. he also runs a good 4th cp time...

I suck badly at blocking, I just can't do it. There stupid car is like halfway into me then they get in front.

I know you could. The thing is...there are a few that are reading this stuff that can't get it. I'm just giving them the bare bone tactics to duke it out. Besides, I don't think that a lot of the less-experienced players can really stand up against Wataru on Shomaru OB, now.
