Why not?

It's not unnatural for kids at a younger age to have urges. You're telling me that at 13, you never had any sexual desires at all?? I doubt that.
No, I did not have any sexual desires then. Hell, I didn't even have my first date until I turned 17, and that was 8 months ago. Your point?

Determining factor in my opinion: Common age for puberty in females is around 13, while for males around 15. You're saying it's natural for a 13 year old boy to have sexual urges? I think not.

Sort of a childish site, but it has the facts. =/

At the young age you talking about,
those are children,
and children don't understand that when sleeping with someone,
they've lost something.

Everyone wants their first time to be "special",
or something they can look back on in in the years to come,
and laugh about.

Not some horrible trauma that they try with all their might to black out.
If your really in love,
waiting a year or two is nothing.

If waiting is too much too handle,
one or both of you are just looking to score.

Personally I do not think sex at a young age is horribly wrong. Sometimes there are things that you cannot control, and they may not always be for the worse.

However, I don't think younger adolescents should be throwing themselves at the opportunity of sex. Being fourteen myself, with friends that are anything but virgin, I believe that we don't really what the hell we're doing when we get into it.

I think that sexual intercourse is something open to opinion by the people committing it. I just don't think... that some of the younger population really know what they're getting themselves into..

Common age doesn't mean that every little boy hits puberty at 15. There are bound to be plenty who hit puberty at 13, or even sooner. The common age is an average, which means there are tons of boys who hit puberty before or after 15.

And they don't finish puberty until 6-9 years later. They are not completely physically, mentally, emotionally, and hormonally developed until AFTER this period. I don't see why people would find it ok to exploit your hormones before your body is fully developed.

EDIT: Did anyone actually read that link, or was pure facts falling on deaf ears? Just wondering.

Just because you lacked urges, doesn't mean that most younger people do too. My point is that people HAVE urges. Dates have nothing to do with it.

Common age for entering puberty in females is 9 to 10
For males, it's 11

It's common for 13 year olds to have sexual desires and curiosities

and to all you guys who are telling these girls "have sex its not wrong" i promise you it wont help you get laid. if you havent already i guaruntee its not because girls think its immorally wrong.
What is up with this statement. How judemental to assume tha anyone that suppots, or at least doesn't disagree, is just trying to "get laid"? How ignorant.

KerosineRevolution

note: please do not reply yelling at me telling me how wrong i am. its very immature and very disrespectful. though i may beleive differently if you have a good argument i will respect your opinion please do so for mine. thank you.
Though for you to make the statement "well it is immoral and your virginity should be sacred to you..." Is slightly immature and direspectful in itself. Morality is somethin that's subjective. Many "moral" are shared by many in socety, but that doesnt make it any more or less "moral" if someone else thinks otherwise. And it's direspectful to imply that those that disagree neither have "morals" nor that they don't consider the possibilites. Some may not, but I'd guess that the majority of youger have some concept.

You do have some good argumentitive points, that if haven't been considered, should. And it nice to see that you've stated them rather than just "It's wrong", or "its discusting", so thanks for that.

Yeah I read it, and the first thing I noticed was that it said girls hit puberty between the ages of 8 to 13, and boys between the ages of 10 to 15. Obviously 13 and 15 aren't the common ages then, hm?

Sexuality is part of the development. I don't see why, if they're feeling things they're curious about, they shouldn't be educated about it (and how to do it safely) and allowed to explore it.

Hilarious Cutesmasher

nothing really, but pregnancy? i thin it does..
Personally, Idon't see a hell of a lot wrong with it, under the right circumstances. If the two care about each other, and its not planned or originally desired, then go for it. If its an act of love, then all the more power to you. If you're looking to get a peice of a**, you're a little whore.
I don't think younger people should be having sex just to see what its like, or because they think its 'cool.' I mean, it IS, but if its for only THAT reason? Just no.
So yeah. Basically...

Care- Yes
No care- No

Obviously common morals are completely absent from society now. What are parents teaching their children these days?

Well, this thread is pointless now.

Okay, this I just had to comment on....

THEY'RE KIDS! Do you really think that they have the moral responsibility or the knowledge to full comprehend the urges they have? Do you really think that they could tell the difference between love and lust?

You give them way too much credit, or you just don't even fully understand it yourself.

EDIT: Oh yeah, sex isn't an act of love.

And what gives you the right to decide which "morals" are the right ones?
