It is my belief that it is not alive completely until the ambilical cord is cut, until that point, I see it directly as a part of the mother's body, thus not making it alive yet.

Abortion is the same as murder. You are killing a living organism. I could never kill another person..so I could not kill an unborn child. I can not tell someone that getting an abortion is wrong because to them it may not be. But I will never support the idea. I believe that it is immoral..but that is just my opinion. I believe that if you get pregnant from having sex and you dont want a kid then you should have thought about that...but the least you could do is give birth and give the child up for adoption. Now..when it comes to a woman becoming pregnant from rape..well why punish the unborn child for what the man had done. I just hope that woman think long and hard about what they are doing before getting an abortion.

Even single cell organisms are "alive". Heck, your organs, your hair, the cells in your skin are alive. It's wether its considered a "life" or a person thats debatable until it can be viable.

A lot of women do think about it when they don't want a kid. To them, the option of abortion is an open one. Once they become pregnant they have to make a sometimes difficult descision. Who the hell are you to judge?

Abortion is not black and white, it is niether good nor bad.
Everyone had different views based upon what abortion means to them.
Some see it as this scenario:
A woman and her husband want a baby girl (Not saying this is always the case, its just an example). The woman gets pregnant and they find out they will be having a boy. The woman has an abortion to attain the desired sex of her baby.
For others abortion means this scenario:
A teenage girl is raped and gets pregnant. She knows in her heart that she is not ready to take care of a child and that if she did, and tried to give it up for adoption, she might get attached the the child. Nor does she want to have a rapist's baby.

If we could somehow make it more organized, with a form to fill out and a committee to evaluate the ethics of the woman or couple in question, then it would be possible to make abortion partially illegal.
But, since the committee would need time to evaluate, the child would be born before the committee had time to come to a descision.
