Just to clarify:
-perhaps "innocent" was a really bad choice of words. My point is that a foetus is incredibly undeserving of being killed.
-I am not offended by women who get pregnant by accident. I was an accident myself, so it'd be pretty hypocritical of me not to be pissed off at my own mother. I simply think that creating life by mistake is something you can't cancel out because it would involve killing the unborn foetus. I think that if a woman gets pregnant by mistake, she must deal with the consequences (by carrying the baby until it can be delivered).
-As for adoption, my opinion is somewhat primitive. I don't know what should be done with an unwanted baby if the abortion system favours white healthy babies. All I know is that I'm against taking the life of another human because a woman doesn't want to carry it for 9 months.
-Now a pathetic attempt to justify the flaws in my points. I have had a minimal amount of exposure to how harsh this world can be(in terms of the adoption problem) and I was unaware of the problem with the adoption system as I live in Northern Ireland and I see 17 girls pushing buggies about the streets-the only solution here to an unwanted pregnancy is to become a teenage mother. My points are pooly made, not well educated and poorly defended.
-I'm a member of the Debating Society in my school. I suppose that last sentence of mine was really my eloquent attempt at a "Please don't hurt me with your harsh harsh words" plea.

So you're admitting that you want to use pregnancy and childbirth as a punishment for no other reason than it offends your morals for women to find themselves with an unwanted pregnancy?
Not quite.
In some cases where a woman finds herself with an unwanted pregnancy, the parents may have used a condom which broke or some other form of contraception that due to chance proved ineffective. What annoys me is women who find themselves with an unwanted pregnancy because they had sex and didn't use contraception even though they didn't want a child, or had sex without contraception when they were drunk, something like that. I believe in those cases that carrying the child and having it delivered safely is something the woman has to do, even if she doesn't want to because she has become responsible for the life that she created.
The blame doesn't always rest with the mother though, it's not always her being stupid. I can understand why rape victims would want an abortion. They didn't want a child and they didn't even want to have sex, it was forced upon them. Apart from that, they may fear violent traits developing in the child because of the mentality of the father.
It's not so much a punishment as it is a job that she doesn't want but has forced herself into by stupidly getting pregnant by mistake (except in the cases where condoms break and stuff, because in those cases the couples were actually smart enough to use contraception).
Plus, we can't force an "irresponsible" person to give up the newborn baby that comes of this, so what this person is suggesting is that only poor, inadequate, ambivalent women give birth to babies and then are forced to pay both the prenatal (if they even do that) care and birthing costs (well over 10000 dollars) as well as any costs to parent them (inadequately at best) or dump them off in the nearest adoption agency.
So you're basically saying that the absolute lowest common denominator of this society should be forced to be (crappy) parents?
And then tout the "children are sacred and deserve the best" crap.
Nope, it's just a punishment.
