What about the idea of hormonal abortion? Any views on the day after pill?

It's not ment to take them all the time (which is why it's not over the counter like most medicain) but for cases like condom braking, rape, or only do it every so offten not all the time then I see no problem with then.
I think (not sure) that almost all of the time a doctor won't let a female to use the morning after pill twice...its not very effective...or is it affective? No, its effective.
Untrue. The morning after pill's effectiveness is generally the same every time. It's just that using it often is possibly a bit risky, given that it is a large dose of hormones.
hm...I suppose, its one of those things where if a condom broke, or you forgot to take a birth control pill for a day or two...
]

Yes, that is what it was created for. Or for rape when the woman probly didn't have protection and might not be on birth control.

I get that...its like a back up plan...cause s**t happens lol, but I've heard that the morning after pill might be made illegal, or that its more likely to be made illgal than chemical abortions

That's why it's called plan b (basically a back up plan). I never heard it becoming illegal though.
Why would it become illegal?

Plan B isn't an abortion pill. It's a pill you're supposed to take within three days (earlier, the better) to stop pregnancy. You can't take it during pregnancy because it won't work.

I don't tink it's so much that they're considering making it illegal, but that they are refusing to sell it over the counter, when there is no medical or safety reason that it shouldn't. A lot of people are starting to seee this as the goovernment and FDA trying to regulate morality.

Many people feel that plan B "starves" a zygote, because it helps bring on an early onset period. For those people who think life "begins" at conception, this is akin to murder.
Holy Christ crackers I go to Florida for a week and this break out. eek

I'm sorry, but what? This comment has made my jaw drop. You really expect a woman about to be raped go, "Woah, there. Wait a second. You got a rubber?"

If I recall correctly, a woman once asked a rapist to use a condom to protect her from HIV and pregnancy. The courts later ruled that that simple request was consent and she lost her case.

Dear god, that's horrible. Poor woman. What a crude punishment for trying to take care of herself in a horrific situation...

That's just wrong. People are going to do whatever they can to minimize the damge done to them and doing so is NOT consent.

To many people it is. Many people think that if you dres the wrong way, or lead a guy on, or drink a lot--stuff like that--that you brought it on yourself. A lot of blame is shifted onto the less powerful in society--who are overwhelmingly nonwhite, female, poor, etc. This is why I think women are "blamed" for pregnancy.
for all you people that choose pro choice(most of you) you are saying my body i can do what i want. well news flash, its not your body you murdering, its someone elses.

I'm not murdering anyone.

Murder is a legal term and abortion does not fit the definition of murder.

And it IS still my body. That doesn't change.

this isn't a new concept to them. go back and read, please. others have stated the same thing, in more articulate words.
