I just thought I'd throw the rule of Ceausescu in here as I saw a documentary on him and Romania the other day.

He outlawed abortion and birth control in Romania to build up a larger workforce, putting many children in horrible cramped institutions.

Actually you COULD get a legal abortion were you over 45 and have raised 5 children.

No exceptions. Not rape. Not woman's health. No reasons.

60% of pregnant women had illegal abortions. Women caught having abortions were given jail time. Women who had botched abortion were interrogated before given medical treatment. Hence, many died.

Mothers taught their daughters how to incite abortions.

Granted, yes, Romania was communist and Ceausescu a dictator.

Anything to say about Romania and the results of Ceausescu?

I assure you, animals and even insects have functional brains. They simply don't have thought processes as advanced and nuanced as our own. I fail to see how this makes them less valid as forms of life or what it has to do with fetuses, whoch do NOT have functioning brains.

Did you just claim humans aren't animals? I mean, really, did you just claim that? Sorry, hun, as long as you're a organism composed of cells which are in chemical disequilidruim with a spinal colum and hair or fur not to mention an animal circulatory system delivering nutrients to your cells and a mamalian neiron collection letting you think you're as much an animal as a pig or a hippo.

I can think for myself, I thought it through, looked at the evidence, and made a decison? Have you don't that, or do you just think it's wrong because. If suggest it's you who needs to examine your stance before you attempt to debate.

I'd also suggest you stop overusing the emoticons. It makes them a great deal LESS effective if you just blast them across the screen over and over and over again.

Our problem is the fact that people like you insist it IS murder when it is really nowhere near.

It does NOT fit the legal definition and is hence not murder.

There are many highly intelligent pro-choice people. We are not morons. We are not ignorant simply because we do not share the belief of pro-lifers.
