I did adoption versus abortion (it's on the last page) but having never been pregnant I don't know how much having a child would actually cost. It must be a fair amount, though.
It's very expensive.

Moni has a link that says it costs a MINIMUM of three grand. But that doesn't include extra, like if the child has to spend time in the NICU, or any other sort of complications.

With a few bills I have gotten because my insurance is still pending, the expenses for going into Labor and Delivery twice because of preterm labor, it was well over 6 thousand dollars.

If they couldn't have a kid the first few times, wouldn't they have learned their lesson?

YOU CAN'T HAVE KIDS.

So they should have just adopted a child.

It's possible they can, my mom had me after doctors telling her she couldn't have kids. But i'm not sure if she was really trying to have kids or not.

Maybe. But if it were me, I would have just quit.

Rinaqa: I heard it was $3000 minimum to give birth. (doesn't include any other complications or doctor visits)

As for "why," there is no "why." Things just happen. You deal with them. That's life. You might as well ask why nature made it so that so many human pregnancies never come to term. And I'm not talking abortion. I'm talking failure to implant, DNA combinations incompatible with life, and so on.

And with so many of those complications that happen to people that want children how can you tell them "O I'm sorry you can't have children, we almost had one but we decided against it and killed it in the womb..."

The same way I can tell someone that I tore apart a half knitted sweater I was working on when they don't know how to knit. Just because my s**t works doesn't mean I have to let other people rule it because theirs doesn't. Otherwise, the rich need to start ponying up, cuase I sure as hell don't have any money right now.

Don't fall for the naturalistic fallacy. Remember, hemlock and arsenic are natural, and wearing underwear isn't.

Indeed. For you would remember that because Humans created underwear and not aliens from the 4th dimension.. They are still natural and possibly bio-degradeable. Thus, healthy for the earth.

Allow me to enlighten you of my cousin's pain. IT SUCKS. They tried for years to have that child. And in trying to form life he brought about the death of his wife. You want your little pleasures thats fine by me. But just as you don't want me to assume your side of the argument, don't tell me about why I'm stupid for caring about petty things like "emotional arguments."

So because your cousin is unable to have kids, that gives you guys the right to reduce my girlfriend to a slave, a subhuman? All for your own gratification? ******** that.

You know she meant "naturally occuring in nature as a whole". I hate it when people do that, playing dumb is pointless neutral

Humans created abortion as well, you know. Some woman figured out that if she ate this herb/made this tea/slid this stick up her cooter just the right way, the embryo would fall out. (One herb was so well known for abortion that it is now extinct.) And then the dead embroy/fetus will break down into dirt. Go, nature!

Oh, and Digital's still on my block list and not coming off, so it's not like I can see his replies anyways.

You know, when you put it that way.. It seems to make more sense.
So really, anything happening in nature is natural.
So the fact that humans exist, and do what they do.. Anything of human origin is natural?

Whoooooooa that's a lot of money.

Lucky me being English, I get pregnancy free on the NHS. Still have to pay for that though, I think. Taxed for hospitals rather than paying when I need something.

Someone earlier had an analogy I agree with. If you had a 4000 year old oak tree, standing all pretty and such, and an acorn from it started sprouting, but didn't have enough room because this 4000 year old oak tree hogged the ground with its roots. Would you give up the beautiful ready-made 4000 year old oak tree, or chop it down for the sapling which might grow and become 4000 years old?

Yep. Just the way anything of bird origin is natural. Whee.

Most misscariages are natural abortions.
Another instance of nature being guilty of murder.

Good thing too. Otherwise women would have to dig out dead babies from their cooter's. 4laugh

ALL Misscarriages are Spontaneous Abortions, abortion is the correct term for the termination of a pregnancy be it by human or biology.
