Both should be taught together, and not is a biased way. After the course, the students can choose what they want to believe, but it's good to know both sides of the story.

yeah let them decided. Cause, you know, a 14 y/o can totally analyze the merits of a universal biological theory.
Although it is quite possible that this is true chances of it occuring in North America, the majority of Europe, Asia, or Russia seems somewhat unbelievable. The only place I could see this occuring really is in the religious schools not in any public or private institute.

Nicely put.
i think that this whole "they could learn about it w/o believing in it" thing is ridiculous. what if you don't know anything about it? then obiviously learning about it in school from a young age would teach you that its ture. its like trying to say that you don't have to agree w/ the fact that adolf hitler took over Europe just so long as you know that we think he did. sooner or later you're gunna believe what your told over and over again, espcially if you aren't presented w/ opposing sides.

The question is, why wouldn't you want your kids to "believe in" gravity?
Please find a way to show what the definition of Evolution is to everyone, so we can get rid of the pointless incorrect spam.
I can agree somewhat with what the pro-active religious groups are trying to get at that they dont want their childrens heads filled with things they dont agree with but you know what thats already happening every day of their childs lives weither or not they want it there. Evolution is a theory that has a lot of logic behind it and its a part of history and was developed by an ingenious man that you cannot mention or teach without the word evolution and to not even acknowledge him in the annals of history is just wrong.
Then this entire discussion can go to health, misconceptions of dieting, and "Healthy" foods.
Oh, great - It's the reoccurance of the Scopes Monkey Trial.

Evolution should ALWAYS be taught. Why? The same reason we present any other information in science - we don't know, so we teach what has the most evidence/makes the most sence.

Let them take a seminary class, go to church, or whatever if you so strongly dislike evoultion. Evolution isn't Creation - it's a process, not an event, so don't make is one of those black or white debates. It's not.

I'm religious - I'm also fond of zoology and biology. I can agree with both evolution and creation because I see evolution as the process of creation. God can and does operate within science.

Evolution is a fact anyways - peppered moths, anyone? Maybe some bacteria antibiotical resistances? We can even pull out a whale pelvis! There's so much evidence that you can't turn a blind eye because you don't like it.
Yes, I believe the evolutionists have just as much rights as anyone else to explain their own theories about the creation of the world. It doesn't mean that they're RIGHT though...
Parents teach spiritual things. Teachers teach actual subjects. So therefore Evolution should be taught in school, a school educates through scientific analysis and learning. Faith is entirely different. If a parent doesn't want their child taught that in school, then they should take their child out of the school.

I hope you realize how ridiculous your post sounds.

(By the way, evolution =/= how the world was created.)
