Problem with the op's argument though is that it would also make them hypocrites to be alive at all. It's evolution that made them what they are. And it hardly makes sense to come to the conclusion to kill them based on that. It's also evolution that gave them the brains that came up with the religion that convinces them evolution isn't real.

1. AIDS has only been around sine 1979
2. Heart disease affects people who are older. People who usually have had children. Natural selection only works if the person dies before he/she reproduces. This is why we have hereditary diseases.

to reap the medical benefits of evolution. Basically, you get sick, use your own immune system for treatment because you don't deserve antibiotics. I'm not trying to promote eugenics here, but when someone denies evolution and tries to ban it in schools, then why should they be entitled to get treatment for a disease or get vaccinated? That would make them hypocrites.

I hate to go here (I never tell others that they are going to die because of their beliefs) but, it's always pointed out how someone hates that some Christian's say that those who lean towards science or philosophy or other religions are going to die by God's hand one day for those things, yet here you are doing the same thing.
No one should be denied medicine, food or shelter simply because of their beliefs. I would never ask a needy person what their beliefs were before handing them what they needed.

It's simple for simple reasons.

The reason for hereditory/genetic disease has more to do with the way we choose our partners. We tend to pick people who are genectically similiar to us. Whites like whites, blacks like blacks. Short people like short people, ect ect. . Over the long term this "thins" the genepool in a population, allowing diseases that are normally supressed by more domminate genes to pop up. Europeans are particularly guilty of this. The royals of europe inbreeded continually, and then had many, many many b*****d children who then interbread with the nobility, trickling down the poor genetics of their partents into the general population (where it was thankfully redoluted somewhat!)

Essentially "natural selection" is actually causes us harm when it comes to disease. If we're interested in a healthier gene pool for the future, we should make it a point to seek out partners that are as genetically disimilar from ourselves as possable. But we don't do that, because instinctivly we want to be able to relate to what we see.

And for the record, evolution is NOT a prerequisite for medicine. wth did the op get the idea it was?
