I know it isn't, but they get what they deserve for being hypocrites.

And people who do believe in evolution can't be hypocrites? neutral

If there was a mdicine based off of scientific research that leads them to believe that evolution is false and that something to do with the garden of Eden created a medicine that helped treat a believer in evolution, then yes, that person is a hypocrite.

What? That doesn't answer my question at all.

Are you really prepared for ALL implications of making hypocrisy illegal?

I want to know how is going to go about reading people's thoughts. A person suffering from a heart attack doesn't go to a hospital to proclaim that he is a creationist. He goes there to receive treatment for his condition.

A person who believes in evolution can be a hypocrite, but I can't see how they can be a hypocrite in this situation.

There really isn't medical treatment for a heart attack that I know of that was discovered by understanding evolution.

If we made hypocrisy illegal, wouldn't we all be criminals?

More or less my point. People are hypocrites in all manners, it is ineffective and tyrannical to enforce consistency in their lives

I prefer to just care about hypocrisy on the subject I'm talking about. This one pisses me ioff more than other hypocrites because of the amount of stupidity that goes in with denying evolution, despite the endless amount of evidence to support it.

Perhaps not in that situation, but what about in others? You can't say hypocrisy is illegal with respect to one thing but not another. As far as I am concerned, what you propose amounts to thought policing. You are essentially saying that people must believe a certain way, or there will be consequences. And while I agree that evolution belongs in a science class, and moreover that creationism doesn't, people still have a right to control their own thoughts.

Also, questioning is necessary for scientific progress. It used to be widely accepted that the earth was flat. People questioned it, and lo and behold-- it isn't flat.

If you use "Its hypocritical" to justify this then barring fallacious special pleading that's a good reason elsewhere as well. And if you're not willing to go with all the implications of absolutely purging hypocrisy then it is silly to use that logic here
Let's find a flaw in your logic, shall we, OP?

Evolution, whether macro or micro-scaled, has nothing to do with medicine.

Okay, then a person who goes to the doctor to receive antibiotics does not do so to proclaim his creationist sentiments. He goes there to receive treatment for his condition. Discussing personal beliefs is plain unprofessional at best.

Are you literally suggesting we institute thought police? That's the only part I find hard to believe.

Not through the police. Maybe enforced by doctors would be a better idea. After all, they are legally binded to regulate prescriptions and so forth.

Even worse.

My only question is why do you think they should be allowed.

Because they are human beings. You seem to have forgotten what that means.

So what if they are human beings? They are humans, but they are still moronic in their own right and are harmful to our education system regardless. And trust me, just because they are human doesn't mean that they have a standard value on their live. And if I so happen to hate someone (Which is rare because they really have to piss me off in the long run and wrong me in some way), I tend to view that person as having no value being alive.

If I had a doctor intent on preaching Darwin to me at all times, I'd find another doctor.
