I don't even know if the ED forum is appropriate enough for this topic because this is more of a philosophical topic of sorts that not everybody may understand.
Who?
What?
Where?
When?
Why?
How?
See what I did there? That's the point I'm trying to make here. Has anyone else here ever noticed this in life? It seems like whenever there are troubles, issues, or anything either good or bad in life, there's always a who, what, where, when, and how....but there is never a why. In fact, anything that equates to "why" is often non-existent, so asking "how come", seeing as it substitutes as "why", will often get you no reason.....well, you won't always get no reason, but it seems like the reasons you get are often ill-conceived, crude, rudimentary, and often nonsensical.
For instance, why are there so many troubles in this world? There's always war, chaos, destruction, killing, massacre, and all those similar things and then some. Why is this? In this case, the reasons are ultimately difficult to understand and justify. Politically-speaking the reasons could be selfish in nature, but there are thousands of reasons that only those who practice or lead the aforementioned horrors themselves can justify, whilst anyone else would disagree with carrying out those actions.
Why are people assholes? I speak from experience when I ask an a*****e this question. Most of the time when I ask why they immediately fly off the handle and start screaming just so they can save face and continue acting the way they do.
It would appear as though people don't need a reason to be what they are. For those who are assholes towards others, sometimes they don't need a "why" to do what they do. It's very possible that, dare I say it, "Some people just want to watch the world burn." As such, they don't need a reason. It obviously feels terrible that people would disregard any reason for acting as such, but there are indeed people like that in this world. If they did have a reason and they decided to explain, it would be something crude and unfounded, like "Because you're you," or something else that wouldn't make sense.
The reason I posted this topic is not to encourage petty political debates or anything (though I suppose ultimately it's inevitable, so as such you can discuss whatever you want so long as it pertains to the topic of this thread). I just want to see if others have noticed this in life, and if they have experienced similar things.
