How hard is it to read the fine print and do the research instead of opening your mouth and spew ignorant message?

Yes, people do seem to enjoy fear-mongering... I guess she saw the words "Wi-Fi connect!" or something and immediately thought "*****!". She even said that any older people (meaning, not a child) playing that game is suspicious.
What the? Does anyone not pay attention to the ESRB any more? What part of E is for Everyone don't people get? gonk

Why the hell do critics care what ideals are in a movie? The film is for kids, and they don't care.

Yes, children cannot possibly be socialized by the things they experience, I agree.

Actually, I came in the ED to bring it up, but you beat me to it. I commented on that site, telling them it is based off a very old anime and that many of the ideals presented in the movie were most likely the result of the ideals presented in the anime, not something placed in there by the evil Hollywood liberals.

My view on ideals in kid's movies... It doesn't matter too much to me, because unless it is stated directly kids probably won't get the jist of most of the messages.
Sure enough the people who have never watched the anime or even knew it was created in the 50's won't get that Hollywood is just giving the series another face lift. -.-

Though now I want to see that new Cyborg series that came out a few years ago. I can't remember what it's called though...

Yes, people have been known to raise hell about movies, TV shows, and video games without even checking them out first. There was a woman who said that the Wi-Fi feature on the latest Animal Crossing video game for the Wii would allow children to meet strangers. She obviously didn't do her research, since you need the other person's friend code to directly interact with them.

I dunno, at least in my personal experience parents are ignorant as hell about video games etc.

I'm 16, and I find the Animal Crossing game to be, to quote Bender Rodriguez of Futurama, "Fun on a bun!". I can see why many older people would think the games are fun. You can fish and catch bugs, design clothes, dig for dinosaur fossils, and best of all, decorate your house. Also, crazy people don't listen to the ESRB. They've been known to buy a violent, M-rated video game without looking at the rating, and then raise hell when they see their kids are killing hookers or cutting off the heads of zombies or whatever in the game. Even though all along, there was a noticable logo on the game cover that not only has the rating, but reasons WHY the game was given that rating ("Sexual Content", "Cartoon Violence", "Explict Language", "Graphic Violence", etc.). Maybe they can't read?

I don't pay attention to the ratings myself, but I know what I'm getting because I will look up games, and their prices before I go out and buy them. But I'm not going to throw a fit because someone younger than me plays GTA. Hell more power to them as long that they know it's a game.

I never owned very violent video games, but if I got one I don't think my parents would mind. I've watched "Gangland" on TV, a show my parents know has a lot of graphic, violent images. They know I'm mature enough for that. When I was younger I would go to one friend's house nearly every weekend. Sometimes his mom would watch us play video games, and she didn't get mad about violent parts (she knew what she was getting into when she buys her kid a game called "Mortal Kombat" ). My mom once played an arcade game where you shoot zombies. She was terrible at it but she had a lot of fun.
School plays, beers, and now childrens movies. Is it just me, or does the politicaly uneducated of america have a big case of red fever? We're seeing communists in our corn flakes, like it was the cold war or something.
Why would you include all conservatives in your massive generalization? I'm offended.
