Diedrich turns 10 this year, guys! Wow, that's a whole decade! Diedrich is growing up so fast. Give me a moment while I get something out of my eye. *ahem* Please allow me to share a glorious Diedrich fact sheet with you all.

Diedrich, as the grunny we all know and love today, first appeared on Gaia on April 1st, 2010. That's right, a whole decade ago! Since his first appearance, our birthday boy Diedrich has made himself well-known throughout the Gaia community. But wait that's not all!

classified_diedrich Diedrich was first spotted in the urn of the late Johnny Gambino, which sparked a long running conspiracy theory that he "died rich" and was, in fact, the megalomaniac reborn in grunny form... As it turns out, this is not the case! He was actually a proto grunny who consumed Gambino's ashes and became super, duper smart! He has since devoted using his powers for good, informing Gaians everywhere of very important things, like how many hours of TV a horse watches on average (73,000) or that one of Saturn's moon is made entirely out of lard! (It's true!)

classified_diedrich He's been involved in many site events throughout the years, most notably various Easter events, where he often clashes with the Easter Bunny. (It's more of a one-sided clash on EB's part, since all Diedrich wants is to have a good time and be friends.)

classified_diedrich After eating too many Easter eggs and pies, Diedrich gained a bit of weight and from the excess fat spawned his children, little carbon copies of himself in a rainbow of colors. Though many were turned into soup or eaten by Lanzer's cat, thousands of his dumb babies still roam Gaia today.

classified_diedrich In 2012, Diedrich nominated himself for President. This came as a surprise, since Gaia had never had a ruling body before, let alone a president. But someone had to put the anarchy to an end, and Diedrich was the only one to step up to the plate! Well, him and some copy cat named Friedrich. The two held a debate, and naturally Diedrich emerged victorious. He won the election in a landslide and became Gaia's first and best ever Commander in Chief.

classified_diedrich After four years of leadership, Diedrich was set to be re-elected in 2016 until a literal trash can was nominated at the very last minute to run against him. The trash can was able to buy its way into winning the election via gold sink, and Diedrich was unfortunately demoted to Vice-President as a result. On the bright side, seeing as President Trash Can is an inanimate object full of garbage, Diedrich is still more or less in charge.

classified_diedrich Along with his many, many, many babies, Diedrich also has a little sister! This adorably sassy pink Grunny was dubbed Little D. She first appeared on April 15th, 2017, in the Fairy Tell CI, in which Diedrich read her bedtime stories. Just like her big bro, is she very smart! Maybe...even smarter? Haha, of course not, but don't tell her that!

classified_diedrich And did you know? This is a super secret, but I will tell you, as long you promise not to tell anyone else...there's a hidden Gaia emoji for Diedrich! That's right! The very ones in this post! You just type this:

To celebrate Diedrich's 10th birthday, we're hosting a ten day long spirit week! That's right: ten days with ten different themes and attire. Seven days was not enough! Here's the dress guide below:

4/1 THE BIRTH OF DIEDRICH
What to wear: Something toxic or venomous, Diedrich-y and/or D-Party-esque. You know the drill!

4/2 FRIENDSHIP DAY (WITH EB)
What to wear: Put on some Easter colors/pastels, and pick which side you prefer: EB or Diedrich!

4/3 LITTLE D TAKE OVER
What to wear: Something pink, or better yet, all pink and SUPER cute or sassy! Or both!

4/4 PIE DAY
What to wear: Get ready for summer! This day is reminiscent of Diedrich's triumph during the summer pie-eating contest. Get dressed in your best summer clothes and your flock 'o Diedrichs! Recommended that you wear plenty of colors to represent all the Diedrich babies and bring the PIES!

4/5 PRESIDENTIAL DAY
What to wear: Show your support for Diedrich's campaign! He is vice president after all, so get your support buttons and campaign gear ready.

4/6 BARA DAY
What to wear: You flexin' bro? How's that new workout going for ya? Show them muscles like Bara Diedrich. Also, today you can definitely support all kinds of love here. Diedrich loves all!

4/7 FACT DAY
What to wear: Dress like a studious, smart nerdy person. Enough Said. Diedrich is never short of facts!

4/8 BATTLE DIEDRICH/KIN DAY
What to wear: Are you a Pokemanz fan? Do you wanna catch all the Diedrichs? Get your battle gear ready and LET'S GO (DIEDRICH)!!!!!

4/9 PAW DAY
What to wear: Paws love Diedrich too! Get your paw outfit ready and show your love for Diedrich! It's gonna be pawsitively wild!

4/10 BIG 10 CELEBRATION BLOWOUT!!!
What to wear: Get those snazzy party outfits and chill with the D-Party as we end this glorious event. Happy birthday Diedrich! We love you!!!
