I’m known around the office as a bit of an amateur chef, so it was no surprise when my agency’s newsletter, the GRS Weekly Auditor, sent a photographer to my house to snap some photos of my culinary technique for the “What’s Cookin’” section. Alas, my famous licorice clams flambé didn’t go quite as planned, and I soon had a raging grease fire on my hands. I whipped off my shirt to put out the flames, and wouldn’t you know it: that dang photographer sold the photos to the Durem Fire Department, and now I’m the cover boy for their annual Gaia Grease Fire Hunks calendar-- again!
Bow howdy, I would make a lousy contender on Culinary Coliseum, Gaia’s most popular televised kitchen tournament. If enigmatic host Chairman Basil Confit IV saw me screw up a simple candied clam dish, he’d probably bite into my skull like a fresh bell pepper!
