Thanks for tuning in, Gaians! It's been an eventful few weeks, and our segment was tragically delayed! As such, we're introducing today's double-packed and doubly-fantastic Community Update to fill you in on the latest happenings around all of Gaia. Let's dive right in, shall we? This week's Arena Winners have just been decided, but their counterparts for the last two went entirely unnanounced! Let's take a trip back in time and congratulate those fabulous artists while we prepare to announce the latest victors later this week! Get ready for a huuuge update, Gaians!
The talented Kuyusi won First Place in the Original Avatar Arena for the inspired entry entitled "Peppermint Sweetie Smasher!" Amazing, isn't it? With a delicate combination of bubblegum pink and a gentle green, this carefully accessorized gem really stole the spotlight! Taking First Place in the Cosplay Avatar Arena was the fabulous Niki-senpai, with a precise and perfect entry entitled "Hotaru Couture!" Looking exactly like the reference image and with wonderfully chosen poses, this avatar is a gem to behold!
lR lE lD prevailed in the Original Avatar Arena, taking First Place with the fanciful entry entitled "THM: Rodinsius." A bold and brilliantly balanced tangle of colors and swirls, this avatar is a marvel of the times! Not to be outdone, the gifted Berreh stunned competitors with the shocking and creative entry, "Lord of the Flies." It perfectly captured an iconic fixture of a classic work!

We have a special guest with us today! The astounding Hassli! You may know this dapper conversationalist as the mastermind behind the D-Party, and perhaps all of Gaia's political affairs. You may have been introduced to them recently via the D-Party Time fundraising event, which sunk over 88 trillion gold! The D-Party received a massive 40 trillion gold as a result of Gaia's generosity! Let's have a chat with the campaign manager himself.
- Welcome to the studio! Now tell me: who are you, and what is this mysterious D-Party? Our fans certainly want to know!
Oh! I'm so sorry Cindy! You were calling me by name so I thought you already knew. I just assumed! That was foolish of me. Allow me to introduce myself.
Hello! Hi. How are you? Howdy. Hey. Salutations! How is your cat? Hi. Ok! Hello. I am he who has entrusted his soul to the eternal vortex of time. Ye know me, and if not, ye shall be made to know me, Hassli. (That's my name. That's the part that is my name.) It is nice to meet you. We should be friends. I try to be friends with everybody.
As for the D-Party, it is the only political party in the nation of Gaia Online. I formed the D-Party in 2013 in response to nobody taking Diedrich's presidency seriously. But it is serious! It is very serious. It's not like all we do is have parties, and sit around and have event threads. That's silly. Who would do that? Who would actually spend time doing that? Not me, that's why I am an important campaign manager. We do real work that is not just playing games and giving out prizes. Why, during the midterms last November, we even did our civic duty and elected Carl to be vice president of Gaia. (Carl will have the honor of casting the tie breaking vote if Diedrich were ever to tie with himself.) It was D-mocracy in action! We just happened to also give out prizes and have contests at the same time. The two were not even related. Not at all. Not even tangentially. But it was a good party.
Oh! Who am I kidding? The D-Party is about two things! The D (which in this one specific instance stands for Diedrich) and parties (which in this one specific instance stands for parties!)! All of them were super serious political events, just like a ten thousand dollar pancake breakfast for old people. That is an actual thing. Look it up. Old people are dumb. They will pay any price for pancakes. D-Party events give you more than just pancakes. They give you the D (which in this instance, as I specified earlier, stands for Diedrich) and they give you a good time (in this case, a party!)!
When the D-Party is not partying, we are diligently working on Diedrich's 2016 campaign. Because we are a super srs political group. THE MONOPARTISAN SYSTEM IS A SUCCESS!
Fantastic! So, about D-Party Time: What will your organization do with the funds gathered? Any particularly amazing plans on the horizon?
We sure were lucky to have been given the opportunity to host a kickstarter. Without the wonderful folks on Gaia's Staff who were kind enough to put this together for us, we would have had to embezzle those funds or, even worse, raise taxes! All jokes aside, it really has been quite moving to see the amount of support the D-Party has garnered for this event! You Gaians are really awesome! The fact we were able to amass over 80 trillion gold in the first five days of the event is really impressive! Thank you so much for your faith in our party!
We have quite a few plans for President Diedrich's fifth birthday party! The event was planned by members of the D-Party, will feature original artwork from like a gajillion gaian artists, is slotted to run from April 1st through April 3rd, and will have so many activities in which everyone can participate. We will have both cake decorating, and cake eating! People from across Gaia will each be given the chance to present Diedrich with a carefully selected gift. You can expect party avatar contests for both Gaians and Paws for everyone to show off their birthday digs! We will be playing a game of pin the tail on the grunny (against my better judgement because I don't trust Diedrich with sharp objects). There will be birthday card designing, and poetry writing! I am most looking forward to the live entertainment during the event when Gaians will be invited to perform musical numbers for one of the contests (Maybe you would be interested in singing a song, Cindy? We could do a duet!). These are just the examples I am remembering off the top of my head! There are probably more! As you can see, there will be quite a wide range of activities, so we hope everyone will be able to participate in something.
As for prizes, you will just have to wait and see! I can guarantee a lot of Diedrich and toxic items in the mix, but probably some random stuff too! I have never spent so much as half a billion gold, much less over 40 trillion!
After all, you only turn 5 years old once! This party could very well be the end of us all.

I would tell anyone who likes Diedrich to join our party. You don't even have to bring anything, you just gotta show up! We do a lot of fun events during the year, and we also try to come up with fun stuff for our members to do.The 2016 election is coming up, and we could use as many Diedrich-Supporters as we can get to help get him re-elected for a second term, and then again for every term indefinitely! Haha! We don't even know which stupid baby clone will be acting as his opponent this time! Not to mention the parties! We do so many parties! It's even in our name! So if you like parties, Diedrich and friends, there is no better group on Gaia to join. Thank you for taking the time to interview me!
