Alright, here is an argument for you. I am a 21 yr old grl, always sterotyped into the "goth" catagory. First off... the Visigoths , or Gothic civilization was a germanic tribe in the time of the Roman empire. They were actually some of the ones trying to make Rome fall. They have been gone for a very very long time. Secondly, Yes I wear black. Not only does black match with ANYTHING but it is a warmer color. Personally I dun like the cold, and the darker the color the more heat it takes in....Maybe you should take a science class or something. Third, not everyone that spends all day behind a computer is "goth" in the sterotypical sense. and not all people who are thrown into the sterotype sit behind the computer anyway. My husband and I are enlisted in the United States Navy. And we know PLENTY of other people thrown into the sterotype also, that work right here with us on base. We defend you people with our lives and what do we get? Sterotyped and called idiots because of the clothes we wear or the music we listen to? Not everyone that is suicidal is in that sterotype, and just because someone cuts or burns or the various other things that some people do are they suicidal. It is only technically suicidal if their INTENT is to end thier life. I understand the fact that everyone has their own personal little psychological idiosyncracies, but the way some people act, you and the thread own here in this case. Is absolutely pathetic. Educate yourselfs, take some classes if you are outta school and if you're not... pay attention. You never know you might actually learn something.

Okie dokie.. This is like a summary of what everyone has said I guess. True goths dont exist anymore, its just a lable created by society. Next, Goth is just a lable and as most all of us know lables suck. Finally, no one cares and we should all be good little students and pay attetion in class. I agree with all of the above. there's nothing wrong with dressing a certain way. it's there life, not every one else's to judge. besides not all goths are sterotypical. just ppl who think they are. a true goth doesnt just look the part. there alittle bit more to it. just becuase people wear black doesnt lable them gothic. those are either poser's or wanna be's.
