This thread is for shamelessly promoting threads/guilds here in Gaia. It's my solution to the problem of having too much cool stuff to share, and too little signature space to do it in.

I'll be grouping things into the following categories:

• Charities

• Other
  

I may also be running contests from time to time, depending on my mood and gold funds.

Rules

1. ToS and all of the other nifty Gaia rules. You break, I ban (and report with a evil grin and a great deal of pleasure). Sweet and simple.
   
2. Respect everyone. Whining and complaining gets you nowhere. Trolling and flaming gets you banned. (see rule #1)
   
3. Don't spam. (NOTE: If I've given you permission to advertise, that's a completely different story.)
   
4. Page stretchers will be shot. Quote trees are allowed within reason.
   
5. I am the supreme goddess here. Heed my word or get out.
   
6. I reserve the right to add rules as the need arises. (I really hope it doesn't.)
   

Blacklist

Break the rules or use your thread/guild to break ToS and your name ends up here. You will not be welcome and I will not advertise anything you are involved in.

Thankfully no one has done this . . . yet.

COFFINS Referral Contest

The Gaian with the most Newbie referrals to COFFINS by 12/31 gets 500G. Newbies must qualify as such by COFFINS rules (i.e. must have joined Gaia in the last 6 months or less, and must have their registration date displayed in their profile) and must state the name of the person who referred them. (By name, we mean full avi name.)

• The Newbie Support and Training Guild (better known as the NSTG) is a place to "learn the ropes", so to speak.

How to get advertising space here:

It's pretty simple.

1. Copy this form:

6. Wait for me to see your post and check out your thread/guild.
   (NOTE: I will not advertise Hidden Guilds unless I am an active member just as a safety precaution.)
   
7. I will reply to your post letting you know whether or not you will be advertised.

What if I have said you can't be advertised here?

• It might be because I only will advertise threads/guilds that I agree with.(That is my right after all.)
  
• It might be because your thread/guild is skirting the very fine line between breaking ToS and not breaking it. (And I don't want to have my thread/account shut down because of someone else's actions.)
  
• It might be because your thread/guild just isn't ready for advertising yet. (This applies to threads still in the set-up process.)

No matter what the reason, don't pester me about it. If it's the last reason, then just hold off sending me your request until the thread/guild is ready to be advertised and save us both a headache.

What if an advertised thread/guild is dead/breaking ToS?

1. If it's breaking ToS - report it. If it's dead, try reviving it. But also do me this favor:

8. I will reply to your post letting you know whether or not it will be removed.
   
9. If yes, I will remove all links from this and any of my other threads.

This feature is to make sure that we aren't linking to inappropriate/"dead past the point of resurrection" threads. It is not a way for cranky people to waste my time by trying to get advertisements removed just because they don't like the thread/owner. That's your problem, not mine.
