I've been here since 07 and at first I thought it was confusing but once I settled in, this place was great. Now....I dread even glancing at the forums because of the sheer amount of spam and idiocy that floods them.

Whatever happened to listening to members? Whatever happened to moderating?

I'm sick of Gaia putting us on the bottom on their priority list...Hell I'm not even sure we're on it anymore.

I originally joined Gaia August 2007, to create, role play and just hang with my virtual friends,
Now with every new 'update' I have to go to my friend's house and show her how to find certain things like deleting your avatar, trade and now your subscribed threads, my post and my topics.
Basically (and she's said this herself) she's an idiot and Gaia is not helping any of it's members (idiot or not) with these 'updates'.

I joined Gaia on Thanksgiving in 2006, long before GGG (GGG=Gaia Got Greedy). And can I just say, I'd never been to a better website in my life. Amazing games, cool items, and a group of creators who seemed to genuintely care for their users well-being.
Along came Mimzy and the site's been going downhill ever since. I knew it from the moment the Cash Shop reared its ugly head, Gaia had gotten pretty damn greedy.
I miss my Gaia.
I miss being able to work hard for 20,000 gold to get a cool item, whereas now days if I want to buy something from the Cash Shop on the marketplace I might as well just give up before I start.
You've really screwed us over.
Me personally? I'm just waiting on the day when you start charging us to even get on the site. I'm disappointed, angry, and hurt that your users, the reason this site is even able to exist, are of so little importance to you.

So now, I'm off to don a pair of panties and add the Nekkid Protest banner to my sig.

I tried writing a letter before. Didnt work. My old account got hacked so I wrote to them and nothin'.

And I hate the new nav bar. Its just for the f-ing n00bs out there that cant figure it out. IT WAS EASIER BEFORE! And they have to change it like every month for christ's sake! Now it takes FOREVER to get to the forums cause you have to click on the n00b certified buttons and then click a few more. like i said EASIER BEFORE!

I love some of the new items and what not, I really do but they're all cash shop items. I can't even wear my old items anymore because they don't match in colour or in style and it's getting ridiculous. I have so many old Monthly Collectable and whatnot in my inventory that I can't sell or do anything with because they're just not worth anything with all the multi-pose EIs and whatnot. I miss the Gaia from 2003. My original account was hacked and then banned. So I'm now officially an '04 User and have been here since then. I can't help but shake my head and sigh at the fact that this site has become so much like NEOPETS!

I do, I miss it. Everything was easier. Gaia cared about its users...now...I only come to sell my stuff. When my inventory runs out...I might leave completely.

Ingenious. Why didn't I think of this? Gaia has been annoying me with all the unnessecary decoration and trappings for a while now. I believe that the trouble really began when they created the Cash system, and I'm sure there are people who will agree with me on that. Gaia Cash wasn't something we ever needed or wanted, and no one can say that it was because the owners of the site needed money, because they got loads of it from the Monthlies. And after the Cash catastrophy, things started getting progressively worse, until now it seems everything on Gaia is about money. I mean, frick - you couldn't participate in this year's summer event without spending your own money to buy Cash so you could get a stupid item that might not even pay out for you. It all seems like a bit too much to me. =_=

I sign. It's time Gaia cut the crap and just let us have fun. For heaven's sake, it has nearly turned into a chore going on here and looking at all the sponser announcements. Now you can't get anything cool without opening your wallet. I'm pretty sure that paying money to them for stuff is not fun at all. All in all, Gaia is getting very contradictory. Sorry guys, but the good times are gone and this place is just getting worse.
