I joined just over a year ago, but I agree with you guys completely. I don't want to have to spend my money on Gaia for everything. I understand that Gaia needs some money to support the site, but it's getting out of hand. I hate the offers. I hate that Gaia made such a dramatic change even within the span of one year. Gaia cares only about money and n00bs lately. Those who've been here for a while and are loyal to Gaia have been pushed away so that the site can expand and make a bunch of money. I hope the staff take a look at this petition of no other, because it addresses every issue on here.

I made a mule a few weeks ago and as soon as I had 500 gold (in like 2 minutes tops) I went to buy a trading pass and it said I had to wait three days! wtf! and quite frankly the login page from 07 was soooo much better! it makes me sad that gaia has screwed up so much since than!

I think that Gaia has steadily declined since around a few weeks or months after the flood of sponsorships. I joined in '05 I believe, left, and came back around '06. [Second account, the previous was hacked.] I think Gaia needs to remember that sponsorships come after the members, and trying to retain and please your members is more important than getting sponsorships for your site.

Gaia really hasn't been listening to it's users at all. There is always a feedback forum when they change something and, despite the fact that most of the people that reply flame a change and tell them to revert it, they don't care. If Gaia won't listen, then they shouldn't act like they care by asking our opinion.

If Gaia wants to keep it's members, they really need to start listening. I've seen so many people leave this site that it's riddiculous. Back when I joined in '04, no one left. It was unheard of for someone to say, "I hate what Gaia is doing so I'm leaving." That is completely a recent developement. Pretty soon the only people that will be left are the people that don't even like Gaia!

Gaia is becoming another MySpace. Gaia is no longer what I remember it used to be. Please Gaia, start listening to the people that care. We want to like you, we really do. But it's hard to like something that doesn't care about us.

I originally joined 1/15/2007 and back then I was thrilled to be on Gaia.It was so much fun, I made a bunch of friends and hung out with them everyday on towns and such.As time progressed Gaia changed and it became very confusing to me and I often got flustered because I got lost on the site.

Currently I haven't been in towns or anything, I use to be in the marketplace a lot, but now I haven't bee in there for months, I hardly have any remaining friends either because they quite Gaia due to 1) They got accused of something they didn't do and Gaia didn't care to listen 2) Gaia just became so boring they left.The other reason is that I can no longer go and socialize with others because everything is so glitchy my computer can't take it or other peoples' computers can't take it and you get lagged out of places often.

Sure I haven't been on Gaia that long, but I can see that Gaia has really become horrid.Everything was so much easier when I first signed up.Then when they made the first little 'upgrade' things were a little confusing, but I got use to it.As more time went by Gaia did more 'upgrades', each one being happening closer and closer together and made thing even more confusing.Honestly, the older versions of Gaia were WAY better.

The shops have gotten so confusing I don't bother with them anymore and they load so slow it takes about ten minuets for one page to load!It's so ridiculous.The only reasons I'm still on Gaia is because I have the few friends on here I hold very dear that I have no other way to contact them, but through Gaia and I have some role plays I'm in that I do enjoy very much, but I'm trying to get out of them so I can quit Gaia.

Don't get me wrong I love Gaia, but it's because of how annoying and how much of a hassle it has become that it's just not worth it to log on to Gaia anymore.I really truly hope Gaia will pay attention to this petition, since I rarely do sign them and the last one I signed was ignored much like other petitions.

I joined on my first account in July of 2007. While that doesn't seem like a long time compared to others, I've still seen the changes. Gaia went from sponsoring very few things then, to anything they can get their hands on now. They have literally sold their souls and for what? Money. Gaia has gone from caring about its users to doing anything they can for money, and ignoring how their users feel, which is why I wouldn't give them one penny of my real-life money. And I mean, seriously. The petition to get rid of Gaia Cash Offers has gotten 5,000+ signatures, and Gaia hasn't done anything to help the issue. In fact, they're just releasing things twice as fast - Another RIG right after another leaves the Cash Shop? That's ridiculous.

So what's it going to take, Gaia? Do thousands of people have to abandon a once-great site for you to get the hint? You can't keep ignoring your users like you have been and still are.

So, sorry about that rant...all that being said, I sign, most definitely.

I'm a July o8'er, but I still see how Gaia's gotten real crappy. I hate all this craptastic EI stuff. I never read the stupid Reports and I don't plan to. It doesn't stop there though. I hate all of these Announcements that are just dumbass things that just spam us. We probably collect more Announcements that give those really ugly items and barely any Gold if given. All the sponsorships and stuff are driving me insane. And why would you even spend your hard earned cash for some dumbass pixels? Not a smart move on a Gaian's part to let these people con us out of our money. The "free Gaia Cash offers" are not free, even if I just include that using your email for a real free one spams up your inbox and I call that a price.

Sign me on the petition please!! Gaia needs to go back to being good; I want to enjoy what everybody talks about of the Good Ol' Days!! Also, I'm staying in my undies. Who doesn't like a cool breeze on your avatar's butt?
