I'd use a trench spike, Once again, not readily available though. And I just had an idea. What about a Nail gun? I mean, my scout troop used to have a whole box of coiled nails. You could loot a store and get one and the ammo. You could pt the ammo in a back pack and then load it. When you start firing, the ammo feeds to you. And from what I have heard, from twenty feet away, a nail gun could send a nail through a solid 2x4.

I can get a SOG knife readily from any local outdoors store. And they're useful for cutting branches, ropes, fishing lines, and the like.

Do you really want to lug around a compressor for that?

No i meant my trench spike. Aren't there some high powered Co2 Nail guns? Also, a high powered paint ball gun could be lethal. And What store within thirty miles would you loot for supplies?

Yeah, but they only go out to 10 feet and have to have specific CO2 tanks.
No, paintballs aren't lethal unless frozen, and then it's from blunt force truama, it wouldn't kill a zombie.

The gun store 3 miles out of town that has a total customer base of 30, Sportsman's Warehouse two towns over, Cabela's two town's over, small gun shop three towns over.

On the compressor, I was thinking maybe putting it on a wagon and rolling it around. Well there was a paint ball field near my house that had a solid piece of plywood. It got a hole put through it by an unfrozen paint ball. The guy had his barrel opened at maximum. The paint ball was traveling at over 1200 FtPS. If you shattered its skull and skull fragments hit it's brain it could kill it. But it isn't reliable enough for me to risk it. So yeah, paint ball guns are out. I would go the the local Bass Pro shop and load up on food, guns and ammo. Is there anything else I could get from Bass Pro for Zombie survival? Maybe a rod and reel for fishing.
Just hang a human head from the rod and use it to get their attention away from yourself.
Actually a baited rod would be useful if you are in a slow moving vehicle, it would probably take some of the crowd away from yourself.
I meant for fish... but ok.

I am actually well prepared. I live in the country, am an avid hunter ( mostly small stuff, so I am more accurate), collect functional melee weaponry, have a large(40' X 50') , metal storage building with a large supply of food, a gas well on my property, a nearly limitless supply of firewood ( I live in the country, we have woods) A well for water, I have a good deal of camping gear, and have access to ATv's, dirtbikes, etc. I also have a 38 foot motor home. It is very heavily built, and would be great for escaping almost anything, and is always stocked with canned and dried foods, as well as a propane supply. I am in decent shape, relatively competent with a compound bow and my house is well stocked with medical supplies because my Dad is a quadriplegic. I am able to survive off the land for extended periods, and will not hesitate to destroy any that get in the way of my survival. Also, as for stores to loot, I have two grocery stores within 8 miles, and 9 gun shops that can be reached in 15 minutes or less of fast driving.

All that and you live in the country? I'm sorry, no.
I've lived in the country, it's damn near impossible to get the internet, or get to a store that quickly.

Also, I highly doubt you could, just sounds like you're bragging about s**t you've never done.

Just because your target is smaller doesn't make you more accurate, it just means you varmint hunt, which is damn easy I might add.

Yeah, you do with that with the thousands of other people that have the exact same strategy.
Has anyone ever woken up to strange sounds either outside your room/house/where ever you are, and though it was a zombie and had to arm yourself before you go out and look to see what it is?

I wouldn't go to a police station because they tend to be in places where they can reach people easily, which means they're close to civilization where the infected zombies would probably be.

Yes. But i didn't know what the sounds were and I didn't suspect Zombies. I just armed myself and checked it out.

If zombies attacked during the oh ******** stage, I think I'd be pretty much screwed =/ Unless I was with my bf, he's a US Marine.. I think the only way I'd survive is through him ><.. Any tips fo someone who has no experience with weapons?

e in a town called colden. we get internet because my dad pays a fortune to get cable internet from Time warner. We have some stores fairly nearby because I am on the edge of the country, right near the village of patchin. and "varmint hunting" as you call it is not easy from distances. We live in the country because my dad wanted his privacy after his accident, and he had a good deal of money from the settlement. He used to love to camp and thats why we have the motor home. At least that way we can still go out to the edges of the wilderness. By "fast driving" I mean ignoring all speed limits, and going as fast as humanly possible, which on the long, straight roads out here is pretty high.

Go and train yourself to use a rifle. Get your boy friend to teach you. Learn to use weapons, all kinds. No you don't have to devote your life but practice is necessary for survival. That and a working brain that knows about your foe.

My mind always goes to the worst possible thing it could be, so I get up and I have my sword and when I get to the door I'm just like, "Bring it on Bitches" and I run through it and it'll end up being my cat....
