Goddamnitt... Why do you keep bringing up the ******** tripwire idea? It's not a good plan!!! And shooting a fire arrow?! Great idea, cause a ******** forest fire while you're stuck in a tree surrounded by razorwire and zombies...

I wouldn't go for a tripwire. Even if you trip a zombie, whats to stop it from standing up?
I'd make a wire fence like a deer fence. That should be enough to stop zombies or atleast slow them down. You could link wire up between power poles etc as a quick barrier. They would eventually walk round it but it would confuse them long enough for an escape.

I also say you could get warratahs or posts that you can make the fence out of and use it as a mobile fence. Just roll it up and carry it to where you need then jab it in the ground or connect it to a building with hooks.

I don't know If fire was brought up or not but all the talk that it is bad for a zombie to be on fire. It really isn't true if you sat me on fire I well die the same will happen to the zombie but until it dies it well come after you which shouldn't that to long sense the body normally has decayed a little which should make a zombie burn faster.

It all depends on what kind of zombie we are talking about. After long, yes, a fire would destroy a zombie, but who's to say that it still won't come after you, regardless of being on fire or not?

It's one thing to have a zombie chasing after you, it's another to have a flaming zombie coming after you.

Yeah, it's a good idea to set up fences, but just to slow them down, but not to rely on them. It's really, really hard to keep them out indeffinentaly, because sooner or later the fence is going to break, unlless it's 3 inch thick steel.

I'm alright with the idea of a fence, but that ******** "tripwire" concept just drives me batty...

If the zombie is on fire it well affect the brain that well affect the zombie
in somewhy hopefully in your favor.

Eventually the fire will dammage it's head and destroy the brain, but there is no telling how long that could take. Plus, the fire could go out, and the brain would be fine. Bones are hard to burn, and the brain is surrounded by a big one, so I'd just suggest forgetting the whole fire thing and shooting or hitting it in the head.

And yes, zombies are dead in a way.

Considering even drunk people get back up when tripped. I have no idea why it would work on a zombie unless you had some way to keep them down. Even then you'd only get a couple.

LOL....

Thanks Lewa, that was awesome.

I am imagining people running through a forest, screaming and getting shredded by tripwires will flaming zombies chase them.

If you can't understand why I think this is a bad idea, I have drawn you a picture at a level that a 1st grader can understand and read.

Interesting that the zombie in your drawing seems to have fallen over about 3 feet before it ever stepped on the wire. Your argument seems to have been based entirely on watching a lot of badly choreographed slapstick comedies, in which people who fall over tripwires somehow wind up with their bodies hanging over those wires, which in real life simply is not how falling works. If you're going to insult people's ideas, think your arguments through before you do so.

Now quit posting this idea!!! Please, it's not good, or even that well thought out! So stop!

The only argument AGAINST it I've heard so far has been shot down.

Now then...

If you used regular wire, nothing would stop it from standing up (unless you set it up around a bunch of sharp pointy sticks, but that's another story). If you used razor wire, it would slash at the legs of any zombie that tripped over it. And as I mentioned before, even if they don't feel pain they still need to use muscles to move, and muscles are made of tendons. No, it wouldn't stop it completely, at least not on its own, but it would slow it down quite a bit.

Sure, if they walk into it BACKWARDS. I don't know if there will be too many moonwalking zombies. If the walk forward, they carve a bit off both shins which is both survivable and none crippling even to us living folk. Plus as zombies with their diminished pain receptors, they could get up and keep on marching.

This is true.
For any human being or zombie for that matter to walk they need
their achilies heel,if this tendon is cut then no walky.

A frag grenade should work wonders for zombie's and maybe napalm but not as good.
Which is why, if you'll look up, I also suggested coupling it with some other traps. If you don't like my idea, by all means suggest an improvement.
