I'm sure someone has brought it up but I had to BUY a peasant dress from the store for 70g when they started giving YOU newbies them, since I was never given one.

I was in a bra and panties until I could afford clothing.

I really don't give a crap what people get to clothe themselves as a generic (and generally ill fitting on the avatars) starter set. And I don't understand why everyone here seems to feel entitled to have more than anyone else...oh that's right because you "worked" for it by surfing the web and typing "bump" in the chatter box the every 10 seconds Gaia allows.

I cannot believe you. I simply cannot. It has taken me months to get where I wanted. Months and months and months. Newbies come and get stylish clothes and we were stuck with a tattered old dress or a top and trousers! It is not about how fair or unfair it is, it is about defacing and destroying dignity. What dignity did we have? We could join and everyone would know we were newbs becuase of the dress/ top and trousers. Newbs come, and because everyone gets the clothes, you cant tell them from a normal person. This simply cannot be! You have to understand. I have never typed in 'Bump' to the chatterbox. I rarely 'Bump' unless I have to. I am a semi-literate to literate roleplayer and I write stories to get my clothes. Newbs should not be allowed to come along while we were defaced and thrown in the gutters of gaia! Frowned upon becuase we were not good enough! Newbs are no better than we were! And as you were a Newb too once, you must understand the humiliation of being defaced. Surely?

So explain to me why it's a bad thing that these kids won't be humiliated and defaced as we supposedly were? This is a good thing as it helps to cut down on an elitist problem that has run rampant on Gaia. Also, as oldbies we should want the best for newcomers, not the worst.

Rares are the mark of people who have been here a long time and worked hard for what they own. You won't see any newbs wearing those. Unless they have some generous and already-established friends... >_>

It's people like you who piss off the rest of us.

While it is a harsh reality, most if not all of Gaia is greedy. They want their pixels to be envied by everyone else. Majority of the people here wouldn't even have joined Gaia if it wasn't for the avatars.

But avatars aren't just a pixel doll that you get to dress up. It's like a growing medallion that shows your progress here on Gaia. You can't just pick out an item and put it on like on tektek. You do work for it, and yes, posting in forums and voting in polls is working. You have to make an effort to get what you want.
